We are not legally married yet. We had a small pre-wedding ceremony at Alec's sister's house in Connecticut last Thanksgiving so that their grandmother could celebrate with us.
No, she is keeping her last name.
Also no.
Alec will be wearing a Sherwani in celebration of his Pakastani heritage.
In Pakistan, the Walima (ولِيمہ) is the formal reception hosted by the husband and wife (or their families) and officially makes the marriage public. It is typically a huge celebration with many relatives and as well as invited guests of both families in attendance. Even though it normally happens in the evening the day after the wedding, we are doing it as a brunch to accommodate everyone's schedules. The Walima/brunch for our wedding will be hosted by Alec's dad on Sunday morning. RSVP required. See Schedule section for time and address.
