Wedding Party

Meet our family and friends that are walking down the aisle with us.

Melinda Taylor

Maid of Honor

Rose's little sister. We are 11 years apart, but we have always been close. She's the best little sister I could have ever asked for. I am so blessed and honored to have her in my life and her standing beside on one of the most important days of my life.

Maegan Mitchell

Matron of Honor

We have been friends since the 8th grade and I could not image celebrating my wedding without her by my side. She has been married to her wonderful husband, Brandon, since 2008. They have a daughter, Madi, who is the sunshine in their lives.

Shamra Mays

Matron of Honor

Shamra and I became friends by accident. I met her and her husband, Travis, when I helped a mutual friend move in with them. There was an instant connection and we’ve been friends for over 10 years now. I am Roro to her two children, Layla and Mason. We are so excited to be celebrating this day with her.

Hans Musil

Best Man

Hans and I met in 7th grade when he was a new student at Holy Cross. From there we became best friends and over the last 24 years we have grown into adults together. From going to the beach on vacation, traveling to music festivals, and holidays together with our families, Hans has been a constant in my life for well over 3/4 of my time on Earth. Hans has been a friend who I have experienced a lot of life adventures with, and surprisingly, we have made it here mostly unscathed. I am happy to have my best friend as my best man.

Medhi Aghabeh

Groomsman

Mehdi has known me longer than I have known him, in fact my mom remembers Mehdi running around while she was pregnant with me. For over 36 years, Mehdi has been my closest cousin and has shared many a great adventure with me. Our mutual love of reggae music has lead us to festivals up and down the east coast and concerts in far flung places. There aren't many people who I would drive through Ohio to go to a hockey game with other than Mehdi. I am thankful to have Mehdi as my family, friend, and as a member of groomsmen crew.

Christian Musil

Groomsman

Christian and I have known each other since he came to Holy Cross when he was in 6th grade. Our friendship has grown over the years as we were not as close when we were younger. Christian and I have gone to Bonnaroo, traveled to the beach, and were in college together at LC where we spent a lot of time together. As we have gotten older, I have fond memories of our shared time in Roanoke together while both navigating our professional growth and development. Christian is one of my favorite humans, and as we have gotten older, I have grown to appreciate his with and kindness far more than when we were kids! I am so thankful to have him as one of my groomsmen.

Brian Nelson

Groomsman

Brian and I met and had the distinct pleasure of being in a pledge class for Phi Delta Theta while at Lynchburg College. As part of the Phirocious Four, we spent many a long night during our pledge time together. After college, Brian and I remained close throughout the years since we graduated, and in 2015, I was lucky enough to be able to stand next to Brian on his Wedding day to his amazing wife Casey. I have had the pleasure of being in Brian’s life now for over 15 years, and am happy to have him with me on my wedding day!

Hunter Spindle

Groomsman

Hunter and I met our first day of law school when Hunter proclaimed to the entire class he was from Virginia. From that point forward the next three years were spent as friends and comrades working through the rigors of law school. I am happy to report we are both now practicing attorneys in our respective fields. Hunter and I have braved an ice storm to go to a casino, gone on beach trips, traveled to New Mexico for possible career opportunities (he stayed), and now we will be a part of each others weddings as I was a groomsman when he married his beautiful wife Mariah. I am honored to have my fellow Virginian and my good friend there on my wedding day.

Adam Bertrand

Groomsman

Adam and I met through Hunter when Adam was the best man for Hunters wedding. Since that time, Adam has become one of my closest friends. Even though our friendship is not that old, we have gone on vacation together with his lovely wife and two sons, we have gone on a great golf week trip, and he has taken me out to do one of my favorite activities, off-roading in Fayetteville where he lives. Adam has quickly become one of my great friends, and I am thankful Hunter introduced us to one another. I am thankful in such a short time to have made such a good friend, and am happy he was willing to stand as a groomsman on my wedding day.
