If you are a fan of American History, Thomas Jefferson's summer home is right in Lynchburg. We have travelled here for social events and think it is a great way to view our history for Americas founding father in his summer escape.
The place where it all began for us. We shared our first conversation here after Daniel got the courage up to ask Rose to go out the first time. Daniel's drink on that fateful day was Christmas in a Cup while Rose had the Hot Chocolate.
A favorite spot for us to eat dinner, especially if you enjoy sushi and a laid back atmosphere! Daniel recommends the Spicy Tuna Roll Rose recommends the Sesame Chicken with extra sauce and white rice.
Local bowling alley.
While we have never stayed at the lodge, if you want to go out an explore, we spent a few evenings up at the Peaks of Otter during COVID when we wanted to out and enjoy mother nature. This is about a 45 minute drive from Lynchburg, but worth the drive to see the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Home of Virginia's Best Cheeseburger!! We have spent many an evening here with a cold Root Beer in a frosted much and a cheeseburger in our hands while discussing how our weeks had been. We both highly recommend the burger platter with double fries and the ranch dip!!
