Matron of Honor
Elizabeth (Betsy) is Robyn's second sister and has always been the life of the family-party–she can be counted on to make everyone laugh, cry, laugh and cry, and generally bend to her will (in that way that is unique to younger siblings). In recent years, Robyn and Betsy have had the joy of sharing their parenting journeys–Robyn adores her niece and nephew and Betsy is thrilled that she will now have four nieces to dress up.
Jigme Ugen
Best Man
Jamie and Jigme met more than 15 years ago as brand new organizers working on a nursing home election in Rochester, Minnesota. They became friends during long hours of phone banks and house visits and Jigme talked Jamie out of quitting organizing to go work on a yacht many times. Today Jigme is one of Jamie's closest friends and Jamie is honored to have him as the best man in his wedding.
Jessica Skrebes
Maid of Honor
22 months younger, Jessica is Robyn's closest-in-age sibling and greatest competition, eh hem, inspiration. Obviously they have shared some of their biggest life-moments (including, but not limited to: graduating from diapers, learning the alphabet, and dancing in their first recital). Really though, in spite of confusing the expected birth order traits, Jessica was born a mover and changer who has consistently inspired Robyn to push the edges of her comfort zone.
Phillip Cryan
Groomsman
Jamie would never have met Robyn if it wasn't for Phillip. To be fair, Phillip didn't actually introduce the two of them, but if it wasn't for Phillip, they never would have stumbled into each other while looking for coffee in the Union's break room. Phillip has been a great friend to both Jamie and Robyn for years and they are both so thrilled to have him as a groomsman in their wedding!
Alanna Cornwell
Bridesmaid
Alanna and Robyn met through mutual friends at the College of Santa Fe. They bonded over coffee and french fries and late-night study sessions. Despite moving to different parts of the country after college, Robyn and Alanna have remained great friends and have shared each other's major life events–Robyn was in Alanna's wedding, Alanna visited Robyn when Emma was a baby, and (perhaps most importantly) in 2017 they saw Hamilton together.
Jordan Simpson
Groomsman
Jordan is Jamie and Jason's younger brother; as a result he was often on the receiving end of his older brothers' bad decisions. Thankfully, the endless dirt wars and ATV races didn't result in too many hospital trips. Jamie and Jordan still love spending time outdoors together, particularly hiking and camping. Jamie and Robyn would like Jordan to know that they carefully scheduled the wedding so it would not conflict with Burning Man.
Abby Koch
Bridesmaid
Abby and Robyn met in middle school youth group. They were both "new kids" (though Abby seemed much cooler than Robyn felt). In the early days, Abby and Robyn shared lock-ins, work trips, and late night coffee-benders. More recently they have shared pre-school pickups and swimming lessons for their daughters who were born two weeks apart. Abby and Robyn have stayed great friends throughout it all.
Chanci Gadbois
Groomswoman
Chanci is Jamie's younger sister. As teenagers Jamie almost pushed Chanci off a mountain and she responded by pulling out fistfulls of hair from his head (which are still missing). In recent years they have bonded over being parents of young kids and even though they live across the country from each other, make time to visit each other as often as they can. Jamis thrilled that Chanci will be standing by him as a groomswoman at the wedding.
Lindsey Spiess
Bridesmaid
In Robyn's earliest memory of Lindsey, she is a lanky twelve-year-old, waiting quietly on a dark corner (okay, so it was the first day of seventh grade and their bus picked up at 6:15). After they connected on the bus, Lindsey and Robyn became fast friends. They spent summers biking around their subdivision, sleeping at each other's houses, and planning bowling and movie nights with friends. (In retrospect, the early days of their friendship looked a lot like an 80s movie.) Though Lindsey and Robyn have lived apart since college, they have remained constants in each other's lives.
Cami Gulley-Bell
Groomswoman
Cami is Jamie's other younger sister and he wants to warn you right now not to get in a drinking contest with her–she will drink you under the table. Jamie and Cami were lucky to spend a few college-summers together working on yachts and riding roller coasters. These days, Jamie loves that Cami lives in Florida and gives him reason to get to a warmer climate in the dead of winter. He is so happy she agreed to be a groomswoman in his wedding.
