Access to the Academy grounds is limited. Anyone with a locally prepared USNA ID Card or a DOD credential, including military retirees and dependents may drive onto USNA. All others will need to park outside the Academy and walk in through Gate 1. All visitors 21 years of age or older must have a valid picture ID. Visitors under the age of 21 who do not have a valid picture ID must be escorted by an adult with a valid form of identification. For more info and a detailed map of the yard, please visit: https://www.usna.edu/Visit/Directions.php
We highly recommend arriving to Gate 1 before 1 pm. This will allow time to get through security and walk to the Naval Academy Chapel on the yard. Seating begins at 1:30 pm and the ceremony will begin promptly at 2 pm. Gate 1 address: 65 King George St, Annapolis, MD 21402
After entering Gate 1, continue straight on Cooper Road, past "Bill the Goat" statue until you reach the intersection of Cooper Road and Porter Road. Turn left onto Porter Road and continue for approximately 500 feet to Buchanan Road. Turn right onto Buchanan Road and continue for about 250 feet. Turn left onto Blake Road, at the Submarine Monument, and the US Naval Academy Chapel will be on your left. To enter the chapel, use the front, main doors facing Blake Road. If you have any trouble finding the chapel, don't hesitate to ask one of the many helpful staff members or midshipmen at the academy for assistance. Please leave through the turnstiles at Gate 1 where you entered!
Unfortunately, there is no parking at the Chapel or the reception venue (Annapolis Yacht Club). We highly recommend taking a Uber/Lyft or walking through Downtown Annapolis to both venues. Each venue are within walking distance. There is limited parking available in Downtown Annapolis. https://accessannapolis.com/visiting-downtown/
