The proposal story told by Rachel: 1/22/22
When I say I was surprised let me tell you I was SURPRISED. I would joke with Jackson constantly that I would know the day he was going to propose because I’d be able to “tell by his nervous energy the day of.” It was a laid back Saturday morning. He was SO CALM. I started getting ready to meet his co worker at the winery and Jackson came in to ask what I was wearing. This was out of the ordinary but I didn't think much of it.
We got to the winery and sat there for a long time waiting for them. He told me they were running late. I went to the restroom and when I came out he tells me that they are actually already here. The winery was big so we could have easily missed them. I followed him up the hill and spot a lady taking photos. Suddenly I see Ruby laying there and I knew exactly what was happening. Ruby had the ring attached to her collar and was sitting next to a beautiful picnic setup. This was the moment I’d be dreaming for years.
Rachel and Jackson moved to Australia for just under a year after graduating college. This was one of their greatest adventures together to date.
