Rachel and Jackson met in 5th grade when Rachel transferred elementary schools. They both had a "crush" on each other but were always too shy to say anything. Throughout middle school and high school they had mutual friends and were always in the same circle. Sophomore year of high school, Jackson asked Rachel to winter ball. After the dance, Rachel stopped communication claiming he was a "boring texter." Fast forward to sophomore year of college they saw each other at a Shoreline Amphitheater concert. Jackson noticed Rachel didn't have a jacket and was cold so he kindly offered his. They ended up spending the entire night together. Two days later Rachel was off back to college at University of Arizona. Eventually, Jackson made the move and transferred schools to be with Rachel. After college they moved to Australia together. They worked as supervisors on a blueberry farm running a crew of 45 people from all around the world. This was truly a test to their relationship.. living together, traveling together and working together all at the same time. They will never forget the memories they made living the nomad life. When they returned from Australia, Rachel got a job in Washington while Jackson stayed working in Salinas. This distance went on for two years and was again another test to their relationship, but also helped them grow so much. Now, they happily live in Ventura, CA with their Ruby Doodle. Sometimes they feel like they've been through it all, but they also know it's just the beginning.
