Travel Note
You'll fly into Puerto Vallarta International airport (PVR) and Sayulita is about an hour away. Taxis and Ubers are cheap, so we recommend you DO NOT rent a car. Sayulita is small enough to walk across in 15 minutes or less, and there is very little parking, but there are golf carts to rent in town if you want a faster and easier mode of transport! There are a range of options when it comes to places to stay, but because April is a popular time to visit and there are no large hotels, we strongly encourage you to book your accommodations as soon as possible. There are a range of places to stay from boutique hotels to hostels, and of course there are vacation rentals for those who want to rent a bigger space with other guests. Here are some hotels we think you'll like:
Hotel
Villa Amor offers many little casitas hidden throughout the jungle, and is right next to the beach. They are 1 to 3 bedrooms each and are all unique! Browse through their website to find the right one for you. Be warned though, many of the casitas are up a flight or two of stairs.
Hotel
Very affordable and comes recommended by a friend who used to live in Sayulita.
Hotel
A beautiful hotel right across the street from the beach with a great restaurant attached.
Hotel
Dan and Diana stayed here their first trip to Sayulita and loved it. The hotel has a fantastic rooftop pool and bar. It's pretty centrally located - half a block away from food and two blocks from the beach.
Hotel
A quieter hotel on the South side of town with a pool in the courtyard - a great place to hang out with other wedding guests! The rooms are a little bigger and include a kitchenette (with a stove). Breakfast is included in your stay here.
Hotel
In a quieter part of town this hotel is very intimate. It offers yoga and you can have your morning coffee and breakfast in their cafe. Plus its a block away from a less crowded beach.
Hotel
This new hotel is right in the center of town and has a 360 degree view from the roof deck bar.
