In November 2018, Diana came to San Francisco for work. Eli Forrester, her friend from college, offered to let her stay at his house, and fortuitously, Eli lived with Dan. Because Diana was only in town for a short amount of time, Dan and Diana didn't get to spend a lot of time together, but Dan was sure to find her on facebook to get her number and stay in touch. While Diana was back in Seattle, they talked every day until she returned to San Francisco a month later. Dan, being the unassuming person he is, made sure to ask if they could spend some time together just the two of them, to which Diana responded, "I'm only coming back to see you!"
After four years of dating, they took their first vacation together as a couple, and Sayulita was recommended by a few friends who had just visited. Because Dan sometimes has a hard time slowing down, he thought that Sayulita would not be stimulating enough for him. After a day of wandering around and having a leisurely pace, he adjusted and simply wanted to be at the beach all day. Diana needed no convincing. Because Sayulita is a small beach town, it is incredibly easy to relax and unwind in a place that is still engaging. With delicious food and the best beach you'll ever visit, they couldn't be more excited to host their wedding in Sayulita.
