This is where I proposed to Amber, you can check out our paver just south of the bridge.
Engineers' Gate
Walk through the gate, across the street and up onto the the Shuman Running Track. This track circles the Jacqueline Kennedy Reservoir and offers some amazing views of the city. If you plan to walk this loop, stop by our paver on Bridge No. 24. If you're a runner, the outer Bridle Path is better for runners as Shuman gets packed with walkers.
The Metropolitan Museum of Art
Always a great experience! We go a few times a year.
Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum
Landmark art gallery. Your experience will depend on the rotating gallery but it's definitely worth a visit if you enjoy art.
Conservatory Garden
The last privately owned garden in central park. Half of it is still being rehabbed. However, what's available to see is worth the visit. Opens at 8:00 am and closes at 6:00 pm.
Café Blériot XI
Casual spot for coffee, pastries and quiche.
787 Coffee
Small coffee shop with unique artisanal brews and empanadas.
Bel Ami Cafe
French bakery with great sandwiches and salads.
Cositas Café
Quirky coffee shop with great pastries.
Ralph's Coffee
Owned and operated by Ralph Lauren. The architecture in the area is stunning. Great shopping district too.
Mission Ceviche
We went here on our first date! Great date spot, especially if you enjoy ceviche and seafood.
La Esquina
Fast casual spot with great tacos, quesadillas, and margaritas. We were supposed to have our first date here but ended up at Mission Ceviche next door.
Flex Mussels
If you enjoy mussels this is a must!
Sushi W
Omakase Sushi that will not break the bank. Right across the street from us, we have to come up with reasons not to go more frequently.
Pil Pil
Spanish restaurant with a great selection of wine.
JG Melon
Overrated? Maybe. Fun spot for burgers + beers.
The Drunken Munkey - UES
Upscale Indian restaurant with great cocktails.
Brandy's Piano Bar
A great night out - show up early to get a spot!
Dorrian's Red Hand (NYC)
Casual spot for some drinks and bar food.
Joe's Pizza
Plenty of New York style pizza in our neighborhood but none that I'd recommend over Joe's. There's a location in Time Square but spare yourself the foot traffic.
Green Kitchen
A basic NYC diner with an midcentury modern feel to it. Checks all the boxes for a nice brunch.
Noglu
Specializes in Gluten Free pastries.
Glace NY (Noglu)
Next door to Noglu. Ice cream is great, frozen hot chocolate is a must.
Anita La Mamma del Gelato
Some of the best gelato. We suffer in long lines for it. Needless to say, it's worth the wait!
Levain Bakery – Upper East Side, NYC
Large New York style cookies, can't go wrong.
