The town offers its own suite of outdoor activities, food/beverage establishments, arts/music scene, and entertainment options. Whitefish consistently makes the top places to live and to visit on many publication's lists. In 2020, the New York Times listed Whitefish, Montana as one of the top 52 places to visit in the world.
The park encompasses over 1 million acres (4,000 km2) and includes parts of two mountain ranges (sub-ranges of the Rocky Mountains), over 130 named lakes, more than 1,000 different species of plants, and hundreds of species of animals. This vast pristine ecosystem is the centerpiece of what has been referred to as the "Crown of the Continent's Ecosystem". The west entrance to the park is less than an hour away from the wedding location.

The north entrance to the park is about 1.5 hours south of Bozeman, MT.
