During the peak of Covid, Paige & Nathan did what every bored single was doing and scrolling through the dating apps. They had matched on Hinge and started chatting back and forth on this day when Nathan asked for Paige's number to call her. They talked for almost 2 hours on the phone that night and continued to talk every day for an entire month before Paige would agree to actually meet him in person (what can I say.. I was super skeptical of the whole online dating thing). Nathan drove to Houston to meet Paige that April, getting take-out wings since everyone was in lockdown. When he left that evening, Paige called her best friend immediately and told her she just had a feeling about him. Nathan moved out of town for work, but he and Paige continued to talk every day for hours- with the distance, virtual movie dates became their thing. They rang in New Year 2021 together when Nathan told Paige, "You have my whole heart"... and the rest is history!
Nathan and Paige had talked about getting married months prior and Paige knew a proposal was coming soon. She expected Nathan to propose in their favorite place, Rockport, but he knew that and had to come up with a game plan to surprise her. Paige & Nathan were spending the weekend in Vidor with Paige's family and getting ready for a family wedding when Nathan decided he just couldn't wait any longer to give her the gorgeous ring he had custom made. After taking some photos before the wedding, Nathan bent down acting like he needed to clean mud off his boots and surprised Paige by dropping to one knee and asking... "Will you be my fishing partner.. forever?"
