House Or Rental

Eagle River Summer Camp

27500 Glacier Highway, Juneau, AK 99801

We rented out the local summer camp from Friday, May 24th through Sunday evening, May 26th. This semi-remote wilderness camp 45 minutes from downtown Juneau is where we will hold the dinner and dancing, and is just a half mile from our ceremony site. If you are up for an Alaska wilderness experience, join us at one of the summer camp's cabins on us! We recommend bringing a sleeping bag. If you are looking for a nicer stay, we recommend booking a local airbnb or VRBO, located "out the road". If you plan on staying with us at camp, let us know in your RSVP.

Travel Note

Alaska Airlines Credit Card

We recommend applying for the Alaska Airlines credit card - if you spend $2,000 within the first 90 days, you qualify for a companion fair, buy one ticket, get a second ticket for ~$120.

Rental Car

Turo & Juneau Airport

1873 Shell Simmons Dr, Juneau, AK 99801

BOOK AS SOON AS YOU CAN! There are several rental car companies, Hetz, Budget, Avis, located at the Juneau Airport. Turo is also available in town, with options for airport pickup & dropoff. We recommend a rental car for your time in town, the summer camp is located approximately 20 miles out of town, depending where you stay, and a ways from grocery stores and other amenities.

House Or Rental

VRBO & Airbnb

Juneau, AK 99801

There are VRBO and Airbnb options in Juneau- we recommend checking options closer to the summer camp, which is 'out the road' by Eagle Beach State Park. We have the camp booked for the whole weekend of the wedding. It has many basic cabins with bunks and sleeping pads. Can be available to stay at on the 24th, 25th and 26th for no cost. The camp has electricity in some cabins, a bathhouse and a commercial sized kitchen. If you have more questions about staying at the camp, please reach out to Grace and Nathan. Think of a rustic camping experience instead of a "Glamping" experience. The Mendenhall Valley is a good central location to experience all of Juneau. Its is about a ~25 min (18mi) drive out to the wedding venue. ~ 5 min drive from Airport. ~10 min drive to downtown Juneau. Close to the Mendenhall Glacier with many hiking options. Other areas on Douglas island and Downtown can be fun. Downtown can be a little chaotic with the cruise ship passengers in the summer but there are many shops, bars and restaurants to experience. Downtown is about a ~35min (~26mi) drive out to the wedding venue. ~10 min drive from airport. ~15 min drive to the Mendenhall Glacier. If looking at properties on Douglas Island across from downtown, we recommend sticking close to the bridge to cut down on driving times.

Hotel

Baranof Downtown

127 North Franklin Street, Juneau, AK 99801

Located downtown Juneau, across from Amalga Distillery. This hotel is a 45 minute drive from the summer camp venue but is in the heart of downtown. Lots of great walkable spots for food, drinks, and retail therapy.

Hotel

Four Points by Sheraton

51 Egan Drive, Juneau, AK 99801

Another hotel option for staying downtown, approximately 45 minute drive from the summer camp venue. Another good hotel option with a restaurant in the hotel lobby, short walks to all the highlights of downtown.
