We've rented out the entire Eagle River Methodist Summer Camp from Friday, May 24th through Monday morning, May 27th to house our celebration and any guests that would like to stay, on us. The camp represents what we love about living in Alaska, it's wild, quiet, and gives ample opportunity for both solitude and quality connection with others in nature. We hope you can experience the love we have for this place through a camp adventure! That being said, there is no cell service or wifi at camp, located about 35 minutes from downtown Juneau. There are numerous rustic wilderness cabins at the camp with bunks and sleeping mats, and electric lights. There is also a shared bathhouse with flush toilets and showers. Let us know if you'd like to stay a night or three at summer camp and we will assign you a shared cabin and send you additional information on camp! Reach out to either of us if you have any questions at all.
9:30 am - 2:30 pm
Alaska casual
We'll have a casual breakfast spread for anyone who would like to join us in the main lodge on Sunday, followed by camp games, relaxing, or a hike before the evening whale watch.
4:45 pm - 7:00 pm
Alaska casual clothing and rain gear recommended
We've arranged a whale watch from 5pm-7pm on Sunday evening for all wedding guests! Please arrive by 4:30pm to secure parking in the harbor lot and meet us at the upper dock staging area. We'd love for you the experience the beauty of Juneau's local humpback whales and spend some time out on our favorite waters with us. Our boat is a 140-person catamaran run by Allen Marine, which has options for both indoor and outdoor whale watching and has a cash bar. Across from the harbor is Forbidden Peak Brewery where we'll meet after for a round of beers and optional food available from their restaurant Red Spruce. We're welcoming $15-20/person to help us offset the cost if you are able.
