If you are staying at Solitude for the wedding weekend, there are outdoor activities for every age and fitness level at the resort. Check out Solitude's website to find hiking trails, mountain biking trails, scenic chairlift rides, and disc golf courses within walking distance of your hotel.
Guardsman Pass is a 15-mile backcountry road that connects Big Cottonwood Canyon and Park City. It is a popular drive for scenic views and viewing wildflowers in the summer. There is short-term parking and restrooms at the summit. You can also take this road into Park City and explore Utah's most famous ski town.
For an easy outdoor outing, check out the boardwalk around the nearby Silver Lake. A short drive up the canyon above Solitude will bring you to the lake. There is a boardwalk path about a mile around a beautiful mountain lake where you can experience the wildflowers, crisp mountain air, and occasional wildlife sightings.
The Hog Wallow Pub is an awesome apres ski bar located at the base of Big Cottonwood Canyon in the Salt Lake Valley. Molly and Skylar often go here after a day of skiing. It has an awesome atmosphere and is worth checking out on your way to or from Solitude.
