We love you all! Can't wait to celebrate this July!

It's time to celebrate! After a long and very surreal year, we are excited to celebrate with all of you at one of the two gatherings this summer! The main details of both gatherings are listed under the schedule tab, so please double check the date/location for the event you're viewing.

The health and safety of our friends, families and communities is our number one priority, so we do ask that everybody either be vaccinated or wear a mask indoors and when it is not possible to maintain 6 feet of distancing between you and others. It all began one spring evening. Amidst the hustle and bustle of a busy taqueria sat a guy waiting anxiously for a girl. His mind wandering all over the place while thinking about who this girl, that he had only chatted with online, would really be. While he sat there watching the interactions of the other patrons something caught his eye. Walking on the other side of the restaurant glass was a cute curly headed girl wearing an adorable sun dress and jean coat outfit with grey converse to top it all off! We hit it off with awkward conversation turning quickly into relaxed discussion jumping from one topic to another. We ate and quickly decided to leave the boisterous establishment and go for a walk (the first of many walks to come), then settled again at a much quieter tea shop. The conversation never dwindled and interest after interest was met with story after story. Over the course the next year we filled most of our time spent together with purposeful interactions meant to learn each other and grow in communion with God. Walks through the neighborhoods and metro parks of Columbus were a common activity. We began discussing our interests which turned to plans and views for life, and the discussions were always interspersed with thoughts about God and theology. Our spirituality has been and will continue to remain the foundation of our relationship. Thank you for coming together to celebrate with us during this incredibly important and meaningful point in our lives.

Shane has done a beautiful job describing how we met and the early stages of our relationship. I'll just add a few things that make me so excited to do life with this man: *He's a patient and caring father to two of the sweetest, silliest, fun-loving little boys--Bowen (5) and Beckett (4). Family days with these guys are filled with zany adventures and lots of laughs! *He applies his passion for the medical field and warm, caring nature to serving people from all walks of life in his career as a firefighter/paramedic. And he's not afraid to chase his dreams! He's back in school, pursuing becoming a certified nurse practitioner. *We share a love for the environment and environmental stewardship. On one of our first dates, I noticed he kept bending over to pick up random litter from around the neighborhood. Swoon! *He loves the Lord, and regularly demonstrates what it means to seek first God's kingdom. I'm so excited to come alongside him and join our skills and passions together to better love others and pursue His will for our lives. Thank you so very much for your love and support as we embark on this journey!!
