Suggested attire
Answer
We suggest cocktail or garden attire. The wedding ceremony will be outdoor in grass, so you'll want to avoid wearing heels that will sink into the grass. Cocktail attire: Knee-length or midi cocktail dresses; Suit and tie. Garden attire: Light, airy dresses with floral patterns or bright, cheerful colors; Khakis and button down shirt with tie optional.

When should I get to the gondola?

Please load the gondola for our ceremony no later than 2:00 pm. See the "Schedule" tab for more information about our wedding day schedule.

Getting around Steamboat

For those who are not staying within walking distance to the ceremony location (Gondola Square/Mount Werner Circle), please see the information below about parking for the ceremony. To get to the reception venue, please consider carpooling, using a rideshare like Uber, or taking advantage of the free bus service in Steamboat. Additional information about each of these options is available below.

Parking for the Ceremony

If you are not staying within walking distance to the ceremony (Mount Werner Circle/Ski Time Square), there are two options for parking. FREE PARKING: Free parking is available at the Upper Knoll Parking Lot. $5 GARAGE PARKING: Guests will be able to park in the Gondola Square Parking Garage (nearest the Sheraton) at a discounted rate of $5 on Friday, August 9th using the access code 5549. After you find your parking spot, go to a parking kiosk, enter your license plate number, find the name of the event in the product list (you may need to select option 5 to see additional products), then enter the access code 5549.

Uber to the reception
Answer
We have complimentary Uber vouchers available for anyone who would like to Uber to the reception. However, please be aware that Uber availability in Steamboat can be sporadic, so we will not know true availability until the day of the wedding. If Ubers are not available, please plan a backup plan to get to and from the reception venue. Guests can enter this code in the Uber app to add the voucher (Account --> Wallet --> Voucher): rMKLaG8kHdL Ask one of us to text you the link for a voucher if needed!

Bus to the reception
Answer
Steamboat Springs has a great free bus service between many of the major hotel/condo locations, the ski resort, and downtown. The easiest way to find out about routes is to use Google Maps and select the public transportation option. The ceremony is located near stop Gondola Transfer Center. The reception is located at stop 11th & Lincoln. There are stops near most major hotels/condos. The Summer Main Line can take you from your hotel or condo to the reception, or directly from the ceremony to the reception. The Summer Night Line can take you from downtown back to your hotel or condo. The last bus from 11th & Lincoln is at 11:02 pm.

Driving to the reception

Free street parking is available around the reception venue downtown (Steamboat Social Club). If you plan to drink alcohol at the reception, please do not drive to the reception.
