Things To Do

Los Angeles is the best, and if you are a daring person, feel free to challenge Mollie on that point. While here, we recommend exploring some of these local and favorite spots.

Dinah's Family Restaurant

6521 South Sepulveda Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90045
, (310) 645-0456

Located on the corner of Sepulveda and Centinela, this is a favorite breakfast spot of Mollie and Mike's. They're open all day, but try and catch them in the morning. If you have time and are in for a sweet treat, be sure to order the apple pancake.

Playa Provisions

119 Culver Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90293
, (310) 683-5019

If you're spending the day by the water in Playa del Rey, Playa Provisions is one of Mike and Mollie's favorite spots for lunch or dinner. They spent their one-year "match-aversary" there. Reservations are recommended for dinner. Lunch is an "order at the counter" experience.

Downtown Culver City

Culver City, CA 90232

If you haven't been to Culver City in the last five years, then you haven't been to Culver City. Use one of their public parking lots and take a walk around. Check out the Culver Studios (now owned by Amazon) with the façade from "Gone with the Wind," the famous Culver Hotel (once inhabited by the Munchkins of Oz while filming), and dozens of new and popular restaurants.

Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook Hike Trailhead

6050 Jefferson Blvd, Culver City, CA 90232

Looking for some outdoor exercise and a great view of the city? The Culver Steps is a popular spot for athletes of all levels. Bring a water bottle and your best pair of walking shoes. Mollie has walked the steps once. She did not make it to the top. Mike doesn't know about the steps because Mollie does not want to do it again. But, yeah, you all should check it out!

Playa del Rey

Los Angeles, CA

Looking forward to a comfortable walk on the beach in January!? Take a drive to Playa del Rey, depending on the time of day, you can typically find street parking. Take a walk along the bike path - either north (you can go as far as Venice and Santa Monica or farther if you're feeling ambitious) or south to Dockweiler, El Segundo and more. But, don't get too tired out, you've got lots of dancing to do at the wedding!

The Original Farmers Market

6333 West 3rd Street, Los Angeles, CA 90036
, (323) 933-9211

This is one of Mike's FAVORITE spots in L.A. Stroll the open air market and choose from a variety of meal options. This is where Mike would go with his grandparents and he regularly visits the market with Mollie and his family.
