Things To Do

We're so excited to share a few of our favorite places and activities around the area with you!
Central Park

Central Park

New York, NY
, (212) 310-6600

Central Park, especially in the Fall, is spectacular.

Times Square

Times Square

Times Square, New York, NY

A tourist's paradise, and what us locals try to avoid (lol), but how could you come all the way to NYC and not come to Time Square?!?

Empire State Building and Others

Empire State Building and Others

New York, NY 10001

In fact, many of the super tall buildings have observatories at the top for some amazing views of New York. Empire State is iconic, but check out One Vanderbilt in Midtown, One World Trade downtown, and the Edge observatory in Hudson Yards!

Metropolitan Museum of Art and ALL the Museums

Metropolitan Museum of Art and ALL the Museums

New York, NY 10028

If you have time, check out the Metropolitan Museum of Art (affectionately called just The Met) and all the other museums here in the City like the Natural History Museum, the Guggenheim, and the Museum of Modern Art to name but a few.

Smorgasburg--Brooklyn

Smorgasburg--Brooklyn

90 Kent Avenue, Williamsburg, NY 11211

If you make time before the wedding, Saturday, Smorgasburg is a blast. Located in Marsha P. Johnson State Park, right on the East River, Smorgasburg has over 70 food trucks and vendors, all delicious. My favorite is Duck Season. Smorgasburg has other locations on different days, depending when you're here: Sunday in Prospect Park (Brooklyn) and near the World Trade Center on Fridays! Go to: https://www.smorgasburg.com for more details and hours.

Luthun

Luthun

432 East 13th Street, New York, NY 10009
, (646) 454-9484

If you're interested in fine dining, NYC is your dream destination. While there are numerous options, our favorite is a restaurant called Luthun. Luthun boasts a 10-course tasting menu at an affordable price compared to other fine dining places. Chef Nahid is a treat, and if you show him our picture and let him know we sent you, I'm positive you'll be well received.

Tenement Museum

Tenement Museum

103 Orchard Street, New York, NY 10002
, (877) 975-3786

For those staying at the Hotel Indigo LES, the Tenement Museum may be a really fun/interesting option. This museum really highlights how immigrants and migrants to NY/USA lived from the 1860's to 1980's. Really cool!

Russ & Daughters

Russ & Daughters

179 East Houston Street, New York, NY 10002
, (212) 475-4880

You come to NYC, you need a bagel. They are out of this world here. Again, while there are many options, Russ & Daughters down on the Lower East Side, 2 minutes from Hotel Indigo, is slated to not disappoint. Be sure, if you're asking a local for directions, to pronounce the street this shop is on, Houston, as [House-ton], not like the city in Texas.

Sweet Chick

Sweet Chick

178 Ludlow Street, New York, NY 10002
, (646) 657-0217

Across the street from the Hotel Indigo, Sweet Chick is actually where Eric took Michael for their third date…and is also known for their dipping sauces. If you have a hankering for delicious Chicken and Waffles, this is a must try!
