We are doing a cocktail-style reception, meaning that there will not be assigned seating. This is a little different than what you have maybe seen before so please read on for more information! Think of the arrangement of a private happy hour (but four hours)! We have rented the entirety of the winery for our guests alone. There will be high and low top tables for you to rest your feet and you can move and socialize freely! Please wear comfortable shoes for dancing. We will have all of the same elements of a wedding including appetizers, drinks, dinner, speeches, dancing, etc.--so don't you fret! Pierce and I wanted to keep the general spirit of a wedding without assigned seating. We want everyone to feel comfortable and to move freely while also having plenty of refreshments along with dinner.
Please see the tab on our wedding website entitled wedding registry!
Please arrive no later than 11:50 am. The ceremony will last approximately 30-45 minutes and we will then have a a window of time until 2:00 pm when the reception will begin. The reception venue is approximately 20 minutes away without traffic.
Please expect to be well-fed with appetizers, charcuterie boards, and buffet-style entrees. Once the buffet is open, you can eat at your leisure! The venue will have beer, wine, and an assortment of cocktails available for guests.
Cocktail attire! We suggest that men wear a suit or dress shirt and women wear a midi- or knee-length dress or attire of a similar length. Please come looking spiffy and modest for our wedding ceremony which is in a church. As the groom is an AVID admirer of our dear friend Tommy Bahama and all things island, please feel free to change into a Hawaiian shirt in your best dressy-casual attire to our reception if you so choose!
We ask that only invited persons attend unless specifically indicated otherwise on your invitation. Thank you for understanding!
This is an adult-only celebration, with the exception of children specifically named on the invitation. If you have kiddos not named on the invitation, please know we love them dearly and want you to use our wedding as an opportunity to relax and unwind (and/or party)!
Yes, I have listed hotels in Cherry Creek, LoHi, and Littleton. Cherry Creek is approximately 20 minutes away from the church and venue, however, it is very traveler friendly with beautiful shopping and food just steps away from your hotel room. If you are wanting to stay in accommodations closer to the reception venue, I have also listed some Littleton which are a hop, skip, and a jump away. Please note that Littleton hotels near the reception venue are slightly less walk- and visitor-friendly. LoHi is also walk and visitor-friendly for those who would like to stay closer to the ceremony venue. If you have any questions on accommodations, please just ask the bride/groom and we are happy to help!
A bus will arrive to the reception to escort any guests without transportation to the after party. If multiple trips need to be made, the bus will be happy to do so!
Of course! Please contact us if you have any allergies.
There is a parking lot both for the church and reception venue. For the after party, there is a lot across the street and one block down from the tiki bar (address below). I would encourage you to park here because street parking can be challenging on Broadway--we want things to be as easy as possible for our guests. Good parking location (277 S Broadway, Denver, CO 80209)
We are planning to have our optional after party at Adrift Tiki Bar in Denver. Depending upon how many people express interest in coming, we may need to shift to another location instead (Viewhouse Littleton) just to make sure there is enough room for everyone who would like to join. If people are tired after already having a very long day, please do not hesitate to take care of yourselves. We are grateful that you have taken time out of your lives to celebrate us at our ceremony and reception.
