Maggie Smith
Bridesmaid
Maggie is Christine's cousin and has been the closest thing to a sister their entire lives. They have been through life's ups and downs together including countless Christmas and Thanksgiving parties, trips to the cottage in Hazelhurst, WI, a Taylor Swift concert with their moms, and college at Marquette. She is a future Nurse Practitioner and is an empathic soul, working as a nurse and pushing her way through graduate school. Maggie will bring the dance moves and a couple tears for sure.
Perry Hartl
Best Man
Perry is Matt's cousin, but has been more of a brother to him for many years. Perry trusted Matt enough to have him as the best man in his own wedding several years ago (a rookie mistake). Perry is married to his lovely wife Jenna and they have two beautiful daughters: Mya (the goddaughter of the groom) and Reagan. Fortunately for Perry, his daughters take more after their mother than father. Perry has been Matt's partner in crime and the two have been on countless adventures over the years. We couldn't be more excited to have him be part of this next adventure for us!
Colleen Smith
Bridesmaid
Colleen is Christine's sister in law (and the photographer responsible for the photos on this website!). She has been a member of the Smith family for almost 3 years and has been a staple for way longer. Colleen is Christine's go-to consultant on which book to read next and has become a prime source of wedding planning information. Together with Danny and Matt, these two love sharing a beer at a brewery or in their kitchens. The bride and groom are counting on Colleen to belt out some tunes at their reception and are so glad she's a part of their day!
Danny Smith
Man of Honor
Danny is the bride's older brother and is serving a dual role of groomsman and Christine's man of honor. He has known the bride her entire life and, while sometimes provocative and mischievous, has been supportive and loving throughout. Danny and Matt have bonded over their love of the Packers and their lush beards (Danny has a bit of beard envy) and enjoy making memories on the golf course. Danny and his wife, Colleen, and the bride and groom plan to take camping vacations together and he and Matt can discuss sports while the girls do something else... anything else. We are so excited to include Danny in our day!
Jess Hartl Majcher
Bridesmaid
Jess is the sister of the groom and Christine is extremely excited to have yet another sister. She has been spending the past few months in Milwaukee and, hopefully for Matt and Christine, has been loving it. She is a future psychologist and is perhaps the world's biggest sunflower fan. Jess and the couple have enjoyed spending Sundays together, watching the Packers dominate the 2020 season (sometimes). We hope she brings the same energy she puts into cheering for the Packers to the Mass and reception and are so glad she'll be a part of the day!
Jeff Majcher
Groomsman
Jeff is the groom's brother-in-law, marrying Matt's sister Jess on September 1, 2012 (coincidently the same date 6 years prior to when the bride's brother, Danny married Colleen). Jeff currently resides just outside of Toledo, Ohio where he works as an air traffic controller and we are so happy that he will be able to make the trip to Milwaukee for our big day(s)! We were excited in 2012 when he joined our family and it's an honor to have him be a part of our wedding all these years later.
Alyssa Engsberg
Bridesmaid
Alyssa and Christine have been besties since they met midway through high school. The two of them made it through the weird high school phase, survived college, and have witnessed and supported each other's relationships all the way to marriage. Christine and Alyssa have goals of retiring across the street from each other where they can drink coffee on their balconies and yell across the street about their kids and grandkids - we'll see if that comes to fruition. Alyssa is required to share a mango White Claw and sing High School Musical with the bride on June 4th!
Alex Hartl
Groomsman
Alex is the older brother of the groom, which means he had to put up with A LOT when they were growing up. Despite that, Alex has been the best older brother someone could ask for. He's been a constant example of patience, kindness, and support over the years. Alex currently resides in Lockport, IL despite his younger brother's attempts to recruit him to move north of the border with beer and cheese curds. We are so pumped to have him as a part of our big day!
Haley Waise
Bridesmaid
Haley and Christine work together and have known each other almost as long as Christine and Matt have been together. She has been a supportive coworker and friend and spends more time with Christine than Matt does. The girls love lifting weights, having girls nights in the clinic and outside of it, and going to beer gardens to talk mostly about work but also about life. She has a lot of love to give and Christine and Matt are lucky recipients. We can't wait to see her cut loose and throw down some moves at the party!
Dave Myers
Groomsman
Dave is owner of Step Above Training in Milwaukee (you're welcome for the plug) Seven years ago, Dave became Matt's personal trainer and the relationship has grown over the years from a trainer/client one, to a great friendship. Dave married his wife Anna back in 2019 and Matt had the honor of being a groomsman in their wedding. We are so grateful to have Dave in our lives and are equally excited to have him stand in our wedding.
