Co-Maid of Honour
Marissa is my longest running best friend and 1/3 of our trio. We have known each other our whole lives. We grew up attending church together, laughing through countless sleepovers, and bonding over our love of Harry Potter, musicals, and a great fish taco. I can't imagine this day without her by my side.
Co-Maid of Honour
The other 1/3 of our trio, Tessa has been my best friend since she moved here from Yellowknife in grade 9. Tessa has a big heart, and an even bigger book and board game collection. She is always down for a chill night in or heading out to try something new. I couldn't be more thankful to have her in my life.
Bridesmaid
Dani is the Cristina Yang to my Meredith Grey. We cheered together for 6 years in junior high and high school, and our friendship has only grown since! Daniella is my go to concert buddy when I want a night out, couch potato when I need a night in, and adventure pal when I want to check off bucket list items. Dani is the ultimate hype bestie every girl needs.
Bridesmaid
Katelyn is the sister I never had, but often wanted. I'm not sure what my brother ever did to deserve her, but I'm so thankful she came into our lives and now I get to call her my sister-in-law. Katelyn and I first bonded working many summers together at Pine Lake Camp, and had many long nights together as roommates. She's a great baker, puzzler, organizer, mom, and friend.
Bridesmaid
5 years ago I barely knew who Laura was... now she is one of the most special people in my life. As a second cousin who grew up in Ontario we didn't get an opportunity to know each other until life lead her to move to Alberta, and in with my parents during Covid. We became quick friends (partly because she agreed to read all of the Harry Potter books within minutes of meeting me). To know Laura is to love her, she radiates joy and has become instant family.
Co-Best Man
Josh has been one of my best friends since 2013. While we have never technically lived together, he is over so often he has became an unofficial roommate for the past six years. Josh is the kind of friend who checks in daily, genuinely wondering how you are. Whether it's to share a laugh, lend a listening ear, or simply unwind with a cold beer after a hectic day, Josh will always be there.
Co-Best Man
Braden has been my best friend since 2003. Our friendship grew over shared passions for soccer, beer, and board games. Since the moment we met, I have referred to Braden as "the smartest guy I know", and I stand by it. For six years, we shared a roof as roommates. Our days were filled with cheering on our favorite teams, video game showdowns, and me complaining after hearing his 10 alarms go off each morning.
Groomsman
Andre, my older brother has been a role model since day one! With just a two-year age gap, we were inseparable, especially on the soccer field where our bond was strongest. Whether playing side by side or cheering for our favorite team, we shared the highs of success and the lows of disappointment, particularly as fans of Manchester United. Andre has always been someone I can lean on and look up to, and I am beyond thankful for that.
Groomsman
Jesse is my closest cousin. Born only seven months apart, and growing up in a Portuguese family we spent hours together through numerous family events and countless sleepovers. I've always looked at Jesse as more than just a cousin; he's been another brother to me since the beginning. Any one who knows Jesse knows he is truly one of a kind, things are never dull with him around.
Groomsman
Alex is a friend who quickly became family. Our bond was instantaneous, and evolved during our time as roommates. Over the years, we grew close over epic ping pong tournaments, lazy patio evenings, late night nachos, and endless TV show marathons. Our ability to connect, whether through deep conversations, or simply enjoying a couple of beers in the hot tub, is one that is hard to come by.
