FAQs

If you have any questions beyond those listed below about our wedding weekend, please contact our wedding planner, Jamie Kostechko, at jaime@wildheartevents.com. She will be happy to assist you.
Question

What are your COVID policies for the weekend?

Answer

All those who are vaccinated are welcome to attend weekend events without testing. We do request that anyone who is unvaccinated test with our planning team before their first attended event of the weekend. Please contact our planner, Jaime Kostechko for your testing kit at jaime@wildheartevents.com. For the safety of immunocompromised guests attending, we do ask that if you are feeling under the weather at any point during the weekend, or experiencing any COVID symptoms, no matter how small, to please do the socially responsible thing and not attend the events. If you would like to take a test for your symptoms, please reach out to our planner Jaime at the email above. She will have many tests ready and available for you!

Question

By when should I RSVP?

Answer

Please RSVP by the 2nd of July. Due to final catering and rental counts, we are sadly unable to accommodate any late RSVPs after the 2nd of July. You can RSVP my mailing us the pre-stamped RSVP card included in your invitation, once that is sent to your address.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Yes! We are registered with Zola. You can find our registry by clicking the 'Registry' tab available on our website above.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please note, we will be providing all transportation to our ceremony and reception venue by chartered buses. These will leave at 3 pm from the side parking lot of The Ritz-Carlton Bacara, the front of The Courtyard by Marriott Goleta, and the front of The Best Western Plus South Coast Inn. We must stress that there will be no parking available for guests at our wedding site, and ride share vehicles are not able to be accommodated on the property. If you are not a guest at one of these properties, please plan to be at one of these hotels by 3 pm for pick up.

Question

Can I take an Uber or Lyft to the wedding venue?

Answer

Our venue is unable to accommodate any ride share vehicles on property. Please be sure to use the provided bus transportation on the day of our wedding. However, you are welcome to take a ride share vehicle to the provided bus transportation pick up locations: The Ritz-Carlon Bacara, The Courtyard by Mariott Goleta, and The Best Western Plus South Coast Inn. Buses will be departing from these locations at 3 pm.

Question

Are there any other wedding events that I should know about?

Answer

Yes! In addition to the wedding, we are hosting a Welcome Party, Celebration Brunch, and Beach Day. Please see our 'Schedule' tab above for more information regarding all wedding events.

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

Our ceremony will be 'unplugged,' which means that all phones must stay hidden during the ceremony itself. However, please feel free to snap away at the reception once the ceremony is over! Be sure to use our hashtag: #meyersbyers so we can see your wonderful pictures too. We have hired wonderful professional photographers and videographers to capture every moment of our day. Please let us know if you would like us to send you any digital images of the ceremony after the event.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes! The wedding attire is formal, but not black tie. For men, a suit and tie would be welcomed. For women, a formal cocktail dress, pantsuit, jumpsuit, or maxi dress. Dos Pueblos Orchid Farm is a rural location with abundant gravel and dirt floors. Please keep this in mind when choosing your footwear! We do recommend block heels, wedges, or flat shoes. The bridesmaids will be wearing sage green.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

The average high temperature in Goleta on July 30th is 74 degrees with an ocean breeze and no humidity. Once the sun has set, the average temperature sinks to 58 degrees. However, the day can be very sunny, so we recommend wearing sunscreen. We also recommend bringing a jacket or wrap for the evening since it can get quite chilly.

Question

I heard you're doing Greek dancing at the wedding! Where can I learn to dance with you?

Answer

We're so glad you asked! We will be doing a fun group dance of the Syrtos at the wedding. If you'd like to learn to dance the Syrtos from Lowell's grandfather, Athan, please click the 'Photos' section above on our website, and watch the first video.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We wish we could invite everyone, however due to the strict capacity limits of our venue and specified catering numbers, we are unable to accommodate dates who are not specified on your invitation to any wedding events.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we absolutely love children, we are unable to accommodate those who are not specified on your invitation. If you are a guest of the Ritz Carlton Bacara, please call the hotel at (805) 968-0100 for available childcare services.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes! Please see our 'Travel' tab above on our website. We would love you to join the Meyers and Byers families at our Ritz Carlton Bacara room block for the easiest access to all wedding events.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Of course! Please indicate all allergies on our RSVP card.
