Question

Will you be having anything to celebrate with those who can't come to Greece?

Answer

We wish we could have everyone we love with us in Greece! However, we know that is not possible and therefore, we'd love to celebrate with you individually when we return!

Question

Are you expecting gifts at the wedding?

Answer

If you are invited to our intimate day in Greece, your presence in Greece is a gift alone. If you are not attending in Greece or if you'd still like to get us something, you may use our registry for our fund or get a gift sent to our home in Charlotte.

Question

What day do you recommend we arrive in Naxos?

Answer

We recommend September 1st as the latest. You will want to factor in time to get accustomed to the time change. We have optional events beginning on the evening of the 1st! You are traveling across the world to be with us and you are invited to every event, and every event is also optional.

Question

What events am I invited to?

Answer

You will be invited to every event we have! You are traveling across the world to celebrate us and we want everyone to be a part of everything over the few days. Please see our event page.

Question

What are the event dress codes?

Answer

For the welcome dinner on the 2nd, please wear SOLID white or off white! White Linen preferred. Men, think white linen top or white button down (pants don't need to be white). Ladies, solid white sun or maxi dresses (i.e. no color patterns, only white). There are many linen shops around if you want to wait to shop on the island. For the wedding, please wear colorful semi-formal attire. The only things in white should be Logan and the Greek villas; we invite you to bring the color because you all are the vibrancy of our lives. Ladies, midi to maxi length dresses or jumpsuits. Yes, black is color, so black suits are okay!

Question

How do we get to and around Naxos?

Answer

Please see "Travel" page for most of this information. For the wedding, we will be providing transportation to the ceremony. Outside of the wedding, we highly recommend renting a vehicle for getting around the island. Please note that you must have an international drivers permit (IDP) and you have to get that BEFORE you arrive to Greece as it ships to your home (https://international-permit.com/en-us) or you can visit AAA (https://www.aaa.com/vacation/idpf.html). There is a bus system, but it is not extremely intuitive to use and having your own vehicle is quicker to transport yourself around. Taxis are also available on the island. Naxos is the largest island in the Cyclades and there is so much to explore!

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

September is definitely one of the best times to visit the island. The average temperature is 24°C/75.2°F. On the coldest nights, the temperature may drop to 17.5°C/63.5°F. On the warmest days, the temperature may reach 30.5°C/86.9°F. Because your in the Aegean, there is often a breeze.

Question

What is there to do in Naxos?

Answer

Please view the page of "Things to Do" for our recommendations! Naxos is a large island so there are many other things to do or places to eat outside of what we recommend. We welcome you to make the experience your own!

Question

Where should we stay?

Answer

We encourage everyone to make this trip what you want it to be and to research places that you would love to stay in! It would be best for you to stay in Chora, main town of Naxos. Chora is very walkable and where our events are. You can use a car or the bus system to get to other towns and the beaches. Our wedding planners have highly recommended the following: Nissaki Beach Hotel St. George Beach Grotta Hotel Porto Naxos Galaxy Hotel Galini Hotel Naxos Resort Emery rooms & Suites We would also like to add Naxos Evilion. This is a great budget boutique spot where we stayed on our first trip to Naxos; a little on the edge of Chora but walking distance to everything you need. Nektarios was a wonderful host. There will be a transportation stop in Chora to the wedding ceremony, so if you don't stay in Chora, make sure you are able to get to our transportation or get to the wedding.
