Elliott's point of view: It was an average day at work. We had just moved office locations and we were excited a coffee shop shared the building. Little did I know my future wife, hair up in a her trademarked bandana, was working behind that bar. Enamored at first sight, I barely got the order out of my mouth. Each day after that I made every excuse to sit down at that bar. We talked for hours about everything from coffee to AC/DC, until finally I gathered the courage to ask for her number. And let me tell you, I thought she was lying to me when almost every digit was a “9”. Fortunately for all of us, bag secured. Logan's point of view: Five years ago, I helped open and was managing a boutique coffee shop that was in the front of a coworking area. In customer service, you always build relationships and you begin to learn your regulars. Well this one guy was always up front, noticeably more than other workers from the coworking space. I never thought much of it other than he drank so much caffeine, I wasn’t sure how he went to bed at night. He began to sit at the bar conveniently every time I was in and when I went to change the music one day I asked his favorite and we bonded over classic rock, in particular AC/DC. All my colleagues started telling me that he was definitely interested in me and I would laugh it off, until one Saturday he came in "to work". Before he left he asked for my number and after he walked away, I went into the back and did a little dance.
Perhaps the strongest passion we share is a desire for adventure and travel. Logan, the Francophile, and Elliott, the Caribbean diver. We sat down to plan our first major trip to celebrate our second year together and settled on Greece because of its rich history and delicious food. We figured we would start in a quiet place like Naxos, spend time in the must-see Santorini, and then close it out in the history capital of the world, Athens. We fell in love and grounded our relationship in the history and symbolism of this magical country. And if you think the romantic views of Santorini are what did it, you would be wrong, although it most definitely played a part. Naxos is where our love precipitated and where we mutually knew the other was "the one". This island is special, authentic, and absolutely beautiful. The terrain combines our love of both water and mountains; here you get hiking, beaches, & lovely villages. You will feel the warmth and deep color of the sunrise and sunset that can only be explained by Apollo riding his chariot over the mountains, with his Temple greeting you as you arrive on the ferry. You'll feel the crisp breeze of the Aegean on the beaches and the top of Mount Zas, the highest point of Cyclades and the upbringing of mythological Zeus. Known for its' gastronomy, you will eat meals almost exclusively sourced from the island you stand on. The locals will make you feel like you are family. It encompasses an elemental and spiritual experience. Naxos is our turning page; it is intentional and obvious to us that this island is where we should exchange our vows, and we'd love to share this meaningful place with you.
