We encourage all guests to stay on-site and participate in a full Adirondack experience! For those of you who don't know, during the summer Jimbo's is a girl's summer camp called Point O' Pines. There are different room options. You can stay in a cabin with beds and bunks (great for families or groups of friends), or a hotel style room. All rooms and cabins have private bathrooms (the cabins each have 2). Cabins range from approximately $30-90 per person a night depending on how many adults are in a room (the more you have in a cabin, the less expensive it is per person). Cabins contain one queen bed and multiple bunk beds. Hotel-style rooms run about $130 per night and can accommodate 1-3 people. These rooms are limited and contain king or queen beds. King beds can be separated to two twin beds. A cot can also be added to some of the rooms for a child. There are two rooms with a queen bed and a loft that contains two twin beds – appropriate for kids over 6 years of age. You do not need to call Jimbo's to make reservations. Just indicate on the RSVP card or note on your online RSVP as to how many nights you would like to stay and what type of room you are interested in and we will reserve the room through Jimbo's for you. Payment will be due when you arrive. When you arrive, you drive up to the main circle (there are directional signs) and check-in at the Library. The staff will direct you to your accommodation and advise you where to park. Attire for the weekend is business casual. Please note that this is a rustic location. Most of the grounds are grass, sand or gravel. Don't wear fancy shoes that you don't want to get a little dirty, and heels are likely a bad idea. Here is a list of things you might want to bring with you to make your day/weekend more enjoyable: Folding Chairs (there are beds in the cabins, but no chairs). Umbrella and/or Raingear (hopefully you won't need it, but better safe than sorry!) Blanket or warm fleece/sweatshirt for the campfire (it's the Adirondacks and can definitely get chilly) Cooler - Jimbo's is a camp and not a traditional hotel so it does not have many of the amenities one might be accustomed to, such as ice machines. There is a Stewart's right off of exit 25. Please bring a hair dryer if you need one!!!
We met shortly after Erin moved from New York to work at the Hershey Memphis Plant. Kyle had been working there for about 2 years before she arrived. The two of us got to be friendly at work, relying a lot on each other's character and work ethic way before ever considering a date. In fact, Erin had a prodigious crush on an oblivious Kyle the entire time. It took over a year for anyone to pick up on it, but when Judith (one of the bridesmaids and Erin's former boss) noticed, she decided that Action Must Be Taken. - and a campaign to get Erin to Ask Out Kyle began. It only took about 2 months of encouragement (which closely resembled bullying) before she was successful.
