Things To Do
Below is a list of a few restaurants we particularly love, for those looking for lunch/dinner spots, or even a quick drink! That said, it's easy to choose your own adventure - there are 50+ options across Vail!
Outside of this, there are plenty of great activities in Vail - hikes starting at the beginning of the Eagle Bahn Gondola, multiple bike rental options throughout the village, shopping, plenty of spas, and even live music if we're lucky. We encourage you to walk around and explore!
Summer's personal favorite is a morning walk on along Gore Creek on the path that runs through Vail & Lionshead village - it's truly beautiful this time of year!
If you do have a rental car and want to venture outside of the village, there even more options - plenty of trails, rafting, horseback riding, you name it.
For any avid hikers looking for a more specific recommendation, Summer urges you to ask expert Adam, as she generally does not hike....
Ludwig's Breakfast
20 Vail Road, Vail, CO 81657 If you're looking for a great brunch spread, Ludwigs at the Sonnenalp hotel is a great option! It also hugs the edge of Vail village, making it pretty walkable back over to Lionshead.
The Little Diner
616 West Lionshead Circle, Vail, CO 81657 Right in the heart of Lionshead, this iconic spot is the only real "diner" in Vail and has every breakfast food you could want - from greasy to healthy.
Bonus, its highly affordable for the area!
Alpenrose Vail
100 East Meadow Drive, Vail, CO 81657 This is where we spent our last Valentine's Day! If you're looking for an authentic German experience - Vail's specialty, in ode to its design - this is our favorite spot. From waitstaff dressed in theme to the best spritz we've ever had, it doesn't disappoint.
Also, great patio!
Fall Line Kitchen & Cocktails
232 Bridge Street, Vail, CO 81657 Summer's favorite drinks spot in Vail Village! Modern, intimate, and with a great cocktail list.
