With Edinburgh just a short 8 mile cab/Uber ride away from Dalhousie Castle, wedding guests are more than welcome to stay in the city as well. Whether you want a nice hotel, a cozy apartment, or a trendy hostel, there's no shortage of places to stay in Edinburgh.

Flights to Edinburgh

There are no Direct flights from Atlanta to Edinburgh, however there are Direct flights from Atlanta to London, so whether you want to fly the whole way (with a layover) or take a train form London to Scotland - Harry Potter style, you have options! We find that you usually find the best flight prices about 6 months out.

Travel Note

Transportation from the Airport

Uber is the least expensive way to get to the castle from Edinburgh Airport. It's about $30-45, depending on time of day, and usually a 20 minute ride. A regular airport taxi will cost between $55-70. For guests who are staying in the city, there is a tram for a few pounds right outside the terminal that takes you directly to Princes Street (central Edinburgh). You can also take an Uber directly to your hotel, flat, etc. in town.
