Edinburgh Castle
Whether you're a fan of History or just want a great view of the city, Edinburgh Castle is a wonderful site to visit. It has its own restaraunt and whiskey shop and is also believed to be the inspiration for Hogwarts Castle, as J.K. Rowling wrote the first Harry Potter book while living in Edinburgh.

The Elephant House
If you want to go back to where the magic really began, The Elephant House is the place to be. Known as the café where J.K. Rowling would frequently visit to enjoy a cup of tea while she wrote her first book about "the boy who lived," the Elephant House is the true Birthplace of Harry Potter. There's a cozy atmosphere, delicious tea and food, a great view of Edinburgh Castle, and photos of J.K. Rowling writing in the café hanging on the wall. And before you leave, be sure to pop in the restroom for a HP fan treat. Trust me : )
