Semi-casual or "beach formal"! It is the beach afterall!! So that means anything you'd wear to a nice restaurant on a summer night works! According to The Knot that means: For guys summer suit with linen shirt, linen pants or khakis. For women formal summer sundress at tea or knee length with sandals.
This resort is a place to get off the grid! The only WiFi is at the main building and in some of the houses.
Everyone! You wouldn't want to miss the cave party would you? (Dress is casual)
Relax by one of the pools, go to the beach at the resort or nearby, nap in the hammock, hang out at one of the bars, deep sea fishing and lots of other activities!
Yes! We'd love to have kids if you want to bring them! Fair warning, the beach and pools do not have lifeguards. This is not a typical resort with kid camps or other kid-specific activities. But there is lots of beach time and pool time for kids!
All you have to do is call or email Jill with your flight from the US to either Nassau or Georgetown and Jill will take care of the rest!
Yes. The resort encourages the island culture of honesty by continuing the tradition of not locking the rooms. You can lock your door at night when you are sleeping but there are no keys to the rooms. You store all valuables in the resort safe for your stay.
Not really. We recommend bringing any cash you may want to use for taxis, tips, etc off the resort (everything on the resort can be charged to the resort except tips to staff). The front desk can put cash in their safe since the rooms are not locked.
There are NO ATMs on the island! So bring cash. But you won't need a lot of cash since you can charge anything at the resort to your room. If you come on the island tour you'll need cash for lunch. They use a Bahamian currency but they take US dollars everywhere. You just may get Bahamian money in change.
You have a number of different options for meal plans at the resort. Frank and I have found the plan that has breakfast and dinner included is the best value for money. You can also just do everything a la carte especially if you think you won't eat one or more meals in a day.
