Lauren and Alena first met when Alena transferred to Gaston Day School in 2003 (and was the only new kid in the class) and they’ve been a tribe ever since! They’ve seen each other through many of life’s highs and lows and continue to celebrate new firsts – like weddings and marriages! Lauren was Maid of Honor at Alena’s weddings in 2020 and 2022 (thanks COVID!).
Joseph Clark
Best Man
TJ’s first memory is waking up one day in April 1987 and crying all morning because his Grandmother was there watching him & Kerri. Where was his mother? Why was she not there to play with him? As of that day TJ was no longer the baby of the family and it took him a while to get used to it but he eventually forgave Joe and the two have been close ever since. There is no one else he could imagine being his Best Man.
Charlotte Lindemanis

Charlotte was that overachieving 3rd grader who took all 4th grade classes, and that really annoyed 9-year-old Lauren. Sometime during the next few years, Lauren matured a little and that competition developed into a friendship that is still going strong 25 years later. Charlotte has been one of Lauren’s biggest partners in crime and they have each other to thank for some of their more *colorful* stories.
Nick Lynch

As cousins, Nick is one of TJ’s oldest and best friends. Nick and TJ spent many weekends celebrating and watching ABC’s TGIF together (they still have a soft spot for Topanga Lawrence) and always made sure to stay awake after Grandma Shirley fell asleep to watch Homicide: Life on the Street. They still spend many Sundays together watching NFL Red Zone and hoping their fantasy teams win (but most importantly they do not lose to the FLOBS).

As Lauren’s sister, there’s no shortage of history here. From family vacations to navigating life’s challenges, they’ve grown up together and been through it all - like that one time when they were binging 3:10 to Yuma at 1 am and were attacked by Palmetto Bugs. Neither will ever be the same.

Matt and TJ first met as opponents on the basketball court in middle school. Little did they know that it would eventually lead to a lifelong friendship. When both chose to attend the same high school, they quickly became close friends and have been since. No matter where TJ happened to be living at the time, they have always been able pick up right where they left off whenever they get together at a local craft brewery.

Kerri Clark

Kerri is the prototypical big sister and both TJ and Joe are incredibly lucky to have had her as a role model for their entire lives. She was TJ’s original travel partner and took him on his first Grand European Tour resulting in a passion for travel that would lead him to Lauren. We are honored to have her officiate our ceremony and most importantly she is still 6 months older than Nick.
