European Visa (ETIAS)

Italy, along with most other EU countries will start requiring travelers from the US to have an electronic visa to visit in 2025. The European Union's European Travel Information and Authorization System (ETIAS), has been postponed multiple times and is expected to take effect in May 2025. Check back here for additional updates as we will do our best to keep you all informed!

Flight

Aeroporto di Firenze (FLR)

Our venue is about one hour and 20 minutes drive from Florence airport. The easiest way to travel from the airport is by rental car. You can also travel by train for ~€50 to Montepulciano or Chianciano terme train stations or hire a private car/van transfer for ~€250. Price (as of June 2024) for RT flights from our friend/family's airports: - Charlotte, NC (CLT) = $1000 to $1200 - Raleigh, NC (RDU) = $1000 to $1200 - Boston, MA (BOS) = $675 to $800 - New York, NY (JFK and EWR) = $685 to $1100

Leonardo da Vinci–Fiumicino Airport (FCO)

Rome's airport is about a two and a half hour drive to our venue. There are also options to take the train into Montepulciano or Chianciano.

Only a 7 minute drive from Pienza is this beautiful country inn, which features 12 luxurious bedrooms in the main villa and a separate two bedroom cottage. Beautiful countryside farmhouse accommodations close to our venue. Situated on 13 hectares of vineyards in the Tuscan countryside. Rooms costs between € 130-200 per room per night. They offer cooking classes, tours of the botanical gardens, wine tasting and more.

The closest option to our venue, only 1.7 km away. Requires minimum of 3 nights stay. Cost: €230 for double room, €290 for suite, and €320 for family room.

AirBnB or VRBO

There are a number of options on AirBnb or VRBO if you prefer to go that route. If you do choose this option, feel free to book on your own, but please just send our wedding planner a quick email to let her know where you will be staying so that we can see if it is feasible to offer transportation for you and also take your dietary requests for the wedding reception.
