We recommend arriving January 13th or early January 14th and staying as long as you want. We will be doing activities and tours after the wedding and departing on January 19th to explore other areas of Costa Rica for our honeymoon.

For questions on the hotel, we recommend contacting the hotel directly through the contact information on their website or through specialevents@villacaletas.com . Please allow a few days for a response due to their staffing posture under COVID. For logistical questions, please reach out to the Maid of Honor Nadia McQuade (703 376 1410) or the Bride's cousin Tasia Agramonte- Harper (407 399 3814). Please keep in mind that they both have full-time jobs and may not respond immediately. For broader questions about Costa Rica or Jaco, we recommend Google.
For questions on augmenting the guest list, please contact the Maid of Honor Nadia McQuade. However, please keep in mind that we are limited in capacity and this is meant to be a small wedding. We know that this will be a vacation for many people and you are of course able to vacation with whomever you want, but they likely won't be able to attend the wedding if your invite does not include them.
Yes! We postponed this wedding due to COVID and had a very small, elopement wedding this time last year. This will actually be taking place on our 1- year anniversary.
Of course not!
Jaco has a lot of hotels/resorts/AirBNBs nearby. Do what you are comfortable with. However, we will not be providing a shuttle to an alternative site, so you will be responsible for your transportation to/from the wedding venue.
While we would love to have you, there is no obligation to join us on any of our excursions. We realize that others may prefer different types of excursions and tours and encourage you to make the most of your stay.
If you want to book an excursion we are doing, or increase the likelihood of being with others from the wedding, book by emailing concierge@villacaletas.com and letting them know you are a guest of our wedding. Otherwise, there are local tour companies and trip advisor.
“Regarding to the Covid test, you can follow the QR code attached to book the test at the airport the same day of your departure flight, you just must be there an extra hour in advance since the result takes 1 hour to be delivered. We also can schedule a visit of a representative of a clinic nearby, the result for the Antigen test($100 per person) takes 24 hours to be delivered and the result for the PCR test($150 per person), 36 hours. In order to book, we need to send to the clinic a non blurry copy of your passports, and we also need to let them know the time and date of the departure of your flight. The sample for the test is taken here at the hotel by a representative of the laboratory of the clinic and the result will get to your email. As for the payment, it must be done cash or through the Zelle app the day of your test. I look forward to your comments. Kindly, Stanley Mora | Concierge Assistant| Tel (506) 2630 3020 | Fax (506) 2367 0404| concierge@villacaletas.com”
It won’t upload on this page, so I have added it to pictures.
Yes, Costa Rica is requiring proof of vaccination through this site https://salud.go.cr/ and we recommend printing the QR code and bringing it with you at all times, as it may be required for entry to most establishments in country.
The hotel still has an arrangement with the clinic (see prior FAQ related to COVID testing) that can have you tested the day before if you are leaving from the hotel to the airport directly. Otherwise, I recommend reaching out to wherever you will be prior to your flight and asking for their recommendation, checking the State Department website, Google, or booking a test at the airport prior to your flight and showing up a few hours earlier.
