We Are Coming From Out Of Town – What Is The Closest Airport?

Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport (SAV), is the closest major airport to weekend activities. Hilton Head Airport (HHH) is a wonderful second choice approximately 35 miles away. Other great options are Charleston (CHS), Charlotte (CLT) and Jacksonville (JAX) even though these all have a few hours of drive time.

It's totally possible—and incredibly fascinating—to spend days strolling through the nation's largest Landmark Historic District. But with so much here to see and do, your feet might have different plans. Other ways to see Savannah in style is to take one of the various tours offered, rent a car, use Uber or Lyft, or utilize the hotel's bicycles.

Where Are The Ceremony And Reception Taking Place?

Answer

The wedding ceremony will take place at a private river plantation outside on the lawn. While there will be shade, please be prepared to be outside. Bear in mind when choosing footwear that there is a five minute walk over pavers and grass from the bus to the ceremony site. The reception will take place inside the ballroom on the rooftop of the Perry Lane Hotel.

What Is The Dress Code For Friday?

Country club attire is defined by a preppy aesthetic that translates into a classy, stylish and understated look. While the dress code may vary, most country clubs require you to wear classic and conservative clothing that exudes sophistication and elegance for a timeless style. Please avoid jeans, mini shorts, flip flops, sweatpants, hoodies and t-shirts with profanity or offensive graphics.

What Is The Dress Code For Saturday?

Answer

Our wedding is Black Tie Garden Party. Guests are encouraged to embrace the sophistication of traditional black tie attire, including tuxedos and formal evening gowns. We recognize that not everyone may have access to such formal wear, and allow for some variation. While wearing a classic black tie ensemble is recommended, guests have the option to wear a formal suit and tie for men. Although the overall look should still feel refined and sophisticated including dress shoes and a bow tie or tie. Ladies, a stylish floor-length dress and you can be adventurous with spring colors. Also keep in mind that there will be a couple minute walk in the grass from the bus to the ceremony site, so plan your shoes accordingly. There's no such thing as being overdressed. We’d love to see our loved ones get dressed up with us for our big day.

Can I Bring A Date? Are Kids Invited?

Due to very limited space, we are only able to accommodate guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. Please respect our wishes as we’re trying to keep our wedding as intimate as possible. Thank you so much for understanding!

Will There Be An Open Bar?

Answer

Yes! Please party accordingly and have a way to get home or back to your own hotel room safely. Remember it will be heavily photographed and recorded so all antics are recorded forever.

Can I Take Pictures and Videos?

Answer

The only request we make is to please put your phones away during the CEREMONY. We have hired incredible photographers and videographers to capture our ceremony and would love for you to be present when we say “I do”. However, please feel free to take photos throughout the evening! We would love for you to share your photos with us so we can see the memories you’ve captured.

The average temperature on May 17th in Savannah, GA is 85 degrees. Spring in the South is unpredictable. We will be taking precautions to ensure our guests are comfortable during the ceremony.
