If you know Kyleigh, you probably know Xander too, and vice versa, because for the last 10 years the two have been intertwined through friendship, love, and Jeff Roberts. For all the book worms out there, their story can be simplified down to a Slow-Burn, Friends-to-Lovers romance novel. Let’s start at the beginning, Fall 2013, where their story first unfolded during the two’s high school days. Kyleigh and Xander were fast friends (running in the same circle). A little less than a year after they met, their budding friendship blossomed over caramel macchiatos + vanilla lattes at Starbucks, car rides listening to country music, and countless shared adventures. Kyleigh fell first and she fell hard (not that Xander was far behind). After a few not so subtle hints from Kyleigh, Xander eventually asked her to be his girlfriend and two started dating. From that moment on they were inseparable. All too quickly, the time came for Kyleigh to move out of state for college where she would attend the University of Alabama (ROLL TIDE!). Distance was challenging for two young kids in love and they decided to take a break but would remain friends. That they did! They stayed best friends: visiting one another and supporting each other near and far. The pandemic brought an unexpected turn of events, leading Kyleigh back home to the Desert to quarantine as she finished her masters. Xander was working for the Roberts family company and found himself spending more time with the Roberts family. ~SPOILER ALERT~ this is when Kyleigh realized the love that they had for each other never truly went away. Xander, and let's be honest, everyone in our lives, had known all along the ending to our love story. Xander patiently waited and pursued his oblivious best friend all those years. Fast forward to November 2023 — Xander proposed at what Kyleigh thought was supposed to be the Roberts family annual Christmas photo adventure. Much to her surprise (and the ultimate plot twist) Xander got down on one knee and Kyleigh said, “Finally!” After over a decade, we can’t wait to become husband and wife! Every chapter of our love story has been sweeter than the last and one God so beautifully wrote.
