We love the Santa Fe Plaza! We recommend taking some time to walk around and check out all the little shops in the Plaza. From art galleries, to Native art and goodies, to some of the yummiest restaurants - there is lots to do in this area! Some of our favorite restaurants in this area are: The Shed (a famous historic restaurant with classic New Mexican food), Osteria (Italian food with great ambiance), La Casa Sena (classic Mediterranean food with a great patio), La Boca (yummy Spanish tapas), Low & Slow (a locals bar with great drinks and delicious wood fired pizza), The Bull Ring (a nice steak house that is Matt's mom's favorite restaurant), French Pastry Shop & Restaurant (get there early to try their fresh croissants). Some of our favorite shops in this area are: Farm Shop Norte & Bar Norte (a popular lavender shop that turns into a cute spot for drinks in the evenings) & Christmas Shops (there are 2 main Christmas shops in the plaza we love).
Canyon Road is the world famous road filled with art galleries, boutiques, and restaurants! This is a fun place to walk around and explore some of the native art Santa Fe has to offer. We wouldn’t recommend this for anyone with super little kids since some of the art galleries are a bit fragile, but overall a fun place to walk in and out of. If you're in this area around breakfast or lunch time - stop in The Teahouse! It's one of our favorite spots with an eclectic menu & teas from around the world, plus an amazing outdoor patio.
If you’re looking to experience some nature, this time of year in Santa Fe is BEAUTIFUL with temperatures of 80° during the day and 55° at night. Take some of the trails and enjoy the scenery!
Meow Wolf Santa Fe is an immersive art experience filled with mysteries and lots of cool things to explore! It's great for all ages and is QUITE the Santa Fe experience. You could really spend most of your day here - it's super nifty!
Summer is Opera season and there are shows every night of the week during this time of year! It's a highly rated, fun outdoor event to attend.
If you're into museums, this is a fun one to learn about the history of New Mexico!
For our guests who are lovers of museums, stop by Museum Hill while you're in town! This part of town has several art museums as well as the New Mexico Botanical Garden.
