YES! You need a passport to enter and leave Mexico. Your passport must not expire within 6 months of your travel dates. For example, if you plan to leave Mexico on November 18th, your passport must not expire before May 18th, 2025.
We love spending time with your kids, however to allow the adults to fully enjoy the events, the welcome party and wedding are adults-only events. It was important to us to select a hotel where children are welcome and there are activities and childcare options for children. We hope you understand this decision. To confirm, there are childcare options available through The Hilton Los Cabos if you bring your kids with you to Mexico.
Please RSVP by August 15, 2024. If we do not hear from you, we will assume that you will not be attending. This early deadline will allow us to fill out our guestlist if anyone is not able to attend.
Yes. There will be shuttles provided around 3:30pm from The Hilton Los Cabos. If you require a later shuttle time, please respond with your RSVP.
Yes. There will be shuttles from The Hilton Los Cabos departing from 3:45pm to 4:00pm on November 17th. Return shuttles will leave ACRE for The Hilton at 9:30pm, 10:30pm, 11:30pm. At 11:30pm, there will also be a stop at the Villa for the optional after party.
No, the Hilton is not all inclusive, but there are various restaurants and bars on the property for purchase. In addition, there are lots of off-site restaurants and the hotel is very easy to Uber in/out of. Uber Eats (the food delivery app) is very affordable and is quite popular in Mexico.
The check-in time is 3pm at The Hilton. As the welcome party starts at 4pm, we have put in a request to have our guests be able to check in at 2pm, however it is not guaranteed. If you arrive before your room is ready, you will be able to store your luggage and have access to the hotel property and amenities.
Technically 4 people are allowed in the rooms at the Hilton, however any additional guests over 2 person occupancy are charged a $50 per person per night fee. Please be sure to indicate the correct number of guests when you book your room.
The short answer is no. However, some of the outlets in Mexico do not have a 3 prong outlet, so please make sure your devices either have only 2 prongs or you have a converter as we cannot guarantee there will be 3 prong outlets at the hotel.
No, not as planned. The dinner will be family style and will include fish, chicken, and steak. There may be one or two appetizers that are vegetarian but it is unknown at this time. If you have a strict diet that is outside of these options, please reach out to us as soon as possible so we can look into options for you.
In Mexico the currency used is the Mexican Peso. The exchange rate varies but it is currently approximately 19:1 to the USD. You can order pesos in advance from your bank or you can take out cash from an ATM once you get to Mexico. If you plan to take pesos out from an ATM, it is recommended to do a rough calculation of the peso equivalent desired prior to getting to the ATM. It is always recommended to carry at least a small amount of US currency (at least $100) when traveling out of the country. Many places in Cabo will accept USD, however they will likely give you an unfavorable exchange rate. Note: you will be able to use your credit or debit card at most locations in Cabo, with the exceptions of taxis and, in some cases, tipping.
If you are traveling at a time that we do not have shuttles scheduled for, Ubers are very easy and pretty cheap to order in Cabo. If you are ordering an Uber to pick you up at a hotel, you may have to let the hotel know the car's information to insure they can get through the security gate.
Yes. Most US cell phone plans allow you to use data, talk and text in Mexico under your current plan without additional charge. Despite this, sometimes the service is not that great in certain areas. The messaging app, Whatsapp, can be a more reliable way to message people while traveling in Mexico, which you need to download before leaving the US. Also, it is best to log onto Wifi in hotels or restaurants you go to.
1. The wedding is outside and it gets chilly at night! We are guessing (based on historical temps) that it will be around 60 degrees at night. So please bring a jacket or sweater with you! 2. Ladies - avoid stiletto heels at they could get stuck in divets in the floor of the space. 3. For attire, we have said "boho wedding chic" which just means a little more laid back than formal wedding attire, but more elevated than beach/casual attire. For men, short sleeve button ups are welcome, however please no jeans, sneakers, or flip flops.
Yes. Aside from the expected disallowed items (firearms, lighters, drugs, medications not prescribed to you, etc), Mexico does not allow e-cigarettes or vape pens to be brought into the country. You will be able to purchase one once in Mexico, although it may not be the same quality. In addition, fruits, vegetables, and seeds are not allowed to be brought in. Alcohol is limited to 3 liters per person and 6 bottles of wine, although you are able to purchase most brands in the duty free store at the Cabo airport and/or at grocery or liquor stores in the area.
