Anna grew up in Hermitage, Pennsylvania. After completing grade school, she moved on to Youngstown State University, where she met Tyler. She graduated in 2015 with a degree in Information Technology. She remained in Youngstown working as a help desk technician before moving on to Cleveland to become an assistant network administrator at GIE Media, where she continues to work while continuing to study for certifications.
Tyler Matthews

Tyler spent the first few years of his life in Oberlin, Ohio. At the age of 6, his family moved to Bay Village, a suburb of Cleveland, where he completed grade school and moved on to Youngstown State University, where he met Anna. He graduated in 2016 with a degree in Arts and Music with a focus in Cello. He remained in Youngstown working in retail before moving on to Cleveland where he now manages the East 4th Street flagship location of Cleveland Clothing Company.
Amanda Kovach
Barrister
Amanda and Anna met at Thiel college for kids all the way back in 2003. They quickly bonded when they realized they both used the same rare brand of SPF 1000 sunscreen at the pool. Also, Amanda was reading a Stephen King novel and Anna thought that was super cool. The two had to survive a friendship over AIM for many years until they could drive and no longer needed to rely on parents to drive them to Borders to hang out.
Danny Bogue

Tyler met Danny during the first on-campus Humans Vs. Zombies game at Youngstown State. Known for his wild and impromptu road trips, Danny took Tyler, along with many of their other friends, and traveled all across the U.S. to play HvZ, wherever they could find a game. After years of adventures together, including a couple of wild trips to Orlando and more than a few hazy weekends of playing Nerf, Danny is one Tyler and Anna’s closest friends.
Bryce Smith

Bryce and Anna met through a chain of friends in their freshman year at YSU and, after one fateful dinner at Inner Circle (may it rest in peace) they became fast friends. Bryce and Anna would remain roommates, and each other's hair and makeup stylists, from their Sophomore year basically until they graduated.
Matt Roman

Matt and Tyler have been friends since elementary school in Bay Village. Growing up together they logged countless hours of video games, Lord of the Rings marathons, band concerts, two trips to Disney, and plenty of other adventures. Tyler and Anna really got a chance to reconnect with Matt after moving back to Cleveland in 2019, and getting to spend more time together has been amazing!
Nikki Gessler

Nicole and Anna survived living in a suite in the dorms together Sophomore year before eventually moving into their first apartment together (along with Bryce!) An apartment that they would one day need to perform an exorcism on, but outside of that, it was a great time! Anna still considers Nikki and Bryce the best roommates she has ever had. They were so in sync that they all actually managed to get engaged at the same time!
Mike Gross

Mike and Tyler also grew up together in Bay Village and shared a lot of the same experiences. Starting together in cub scouts, all the way to having a combined graduation party along with Matt and a few other friends. Mike also joined Tyler and others to head to their favorite music festival in Tennessee for three consecutive years, where he first got to know Anna.

Rodger and Anna met their freshman year at Youngstown State through Humans vs Zombies and the Harry Potter club. Together, the two eventually came up with the best way to spend an evening ever known as the Lifetime Drinking Game. Rodger's dog (Luna) is also best friends with Tyler and Anna's dog (Nima) and you should absolutely ask for pictures and video for proof.
Scotty Solomon

Scotty met Tyler once in high school. Years later, by total chance, they recognized each other from that night while playing HvZ and the rest is history. Together they’ve shared crazy road trips, listened to lots of new music, and even helped create the world's largest HvZ game. Anna once famously drove 14 hours overnight to orchestrate Tyler and Scotty’s demise at an HvZ game they didn’t take her to, and that lesson has stuck with them both ever since.
Lizzie Hanna

Lizzie and Anna were freshman neighbors in the dorms at Youngstown State where they decided to join Humans vs Zombies and Harry Potter club (along with Rodger!) Also, her 21st birthday was actually where Tyler and Anna met for the first time! Lizzie was also the motivation for Anna to travel out of the states (to Japan) not once, but twice!
Brian Leonard

Brian met Tyler and Anna at one of Youngstown State’s Humans vs. Zombies invitationals. A few months later, he just happened to contact them for a ride to a different game, and after bonding on that first excursion, an amazing friendship began. Brian has been traveling to Youngstown and Cleveland for years to stay in touch with Tyler and Anna, and he is full of terrible puns to keep everyone entertained when he does.
Elijah Davis

Of the couple, Elijah actually met Tyler first. Actually, it was hard to miss him as considering he accidentally tackled them into a street while playing Humans vs Zombies. Possibly due to head trauma, they decided to become friends afterward. Elijah and Anna would go on to spend many an evening watching the sun come up while planning HvZ games, crafting, and editing videos while eating their weight in Taco Bell
Mike Thomas

Michael was the president of the Urban Gaming Club when Tyler joined as a moderator, which led to plenty of drunken excursions in nerf and at parties in college. Mike helped out with Tyler’s old Irish band and provided sound for them. Mike has been an awesome friend to Tyler and Anna for years now and is one of the people who has known them for their entire relationship.
Dennis Vilensky

Dennis met Tyler and Anna when he volunteered to help plan Endwar 2017 (a 1000 person Nerf event) which Anna was in charge of. Together, they have enabled each other into buying probably several thousands of dollars of sneakers, clothes, and concert tickets, including the NYC stop of My Chemical Romance's 2020 reunion.
Daniel Walker

Daniel joined Urban Gaming Club as Tyler and Anna were almost finished with college, but they still got to know him and spent a lot of time with him. Daniel used to spend endless nights crashing on the futon at Tyler and Anna’s old house, planning and traveling to nerf events, and just spending time together having dinner and going on random adventures.
Ciera Flickinger

Ciera met Tyler and Anna through HvZ, but they didn't REALLY get to know each other until a certain "Glam Squad" pizza party. Several items the couple owns are still stained hot pink as a result. But Ciera also allowed them to shave part of her hair off as part of an elaborate joke in a skit, so they're probably a little more than even. Somehow, they remain friends.

Brian met Tyler and Anna at one of the Youngstown State’s Humans vs. Zombies games when he was just a freshman. At the final mission, Tyler yelled at Brian to eat cake and reload nerf clips, and Brian did it without question even though he apparently hates cake. Brian is a big goofball who always puts a smile on everyone's face, and has become an awesome friend over the last few years.
