While it might be a little chilly, we actually prefer going when it's cold. There's less of a crowd and some of the animals are actually really active! When you're done, there isn't a lot in the way of food in the area. But.... If you're a fan of the Drew Carrey show, the Warsaw Tavern is just around the corner under a new name - Murphy's Law. It has some good reviews! If you're not, Dina's Pizza is a hole in the wall with amazing food! They're especially well known for their wings.
West Side Market is a European-style shopping market with vendors and goods from all over the world. However, many of the stalls sell food you can eat right in the market! Come prepared with a list of obscure ingredients you're having troubles finding elsewhere. After, we suggest dining at Great Lakes Brewery (Tyler) or the Flying Fig (Anna.)
We were surprised to see gator being served in Cleveland, but it's great! As is anything else this New Orleans styled establishment serves! Bourbon Street Barrel Room is reasonable on the prices, but doesn't go light on the flavor!
The menu is constantly rotating, changing every 3-4 months, so reservations can be hard to come by. The menu is vegan and the cocktails are showy and impressive.
The name is short for Lakewood Black Metal, but don't let the name scare you off. The music isn't very loud at all, the decor is great, and the cocktails and food are impressive.
This is great even for people who hate golf. All their balls are equipped with a tracker that, when hit, scores you points. It's like golf crossed with a video game. It's temperature-controlled so it's fun year-round, and you don't even need your own clubs. Even the food is great! We suggest going in a group to make things cheaper. Make sure you book in advance!!! Their reservations start a week in advance and they book up FAST.
Lakewood is great to just wander in. There's a ton of cool places to check out. Some of our favorites include: - The Winchester: hosts tons of bands and has bottomless mimosas for brunch - Melt (the original): a gourmet cheese sandwich restaurant - 16-bit barcade: play some retro video games while enjoying your drinks! - LBM (Lakewood Black Metal Bar): warning - the music is loud, but the food and decor are real cool - Thai Thai: best Thai food ever with the bonus of amazing bubble tea
Not only is it a great museum, but it's completely FREE! Which is incredible with how huge it is!
I cannot recommend their cauliflower wings or their milkshakes enough. - Anna
