It all started with 🔥. He posted a 🔥 on a picture of four moms at a country concert. I was one of them & his friend from high school was another. A few days later, he posted something (cheesy I'm sure 😜) on a few other pics of us. A few days later, while waiting on a flight up to Chicago, I got bold & messaged him saying, "Are you just going to keep dropping emojis or are you ever gonna say hi?" We instantly connected over our shared love for Notre Dame as I was headed up to the ND v. Stanford game & he was completely jealous. We messaged back & forth all weekend & the rest is history!
2020 wouldn't have been 2020 without messing up Shannon's proposal plans. So when Covid hit him like a truck, he decided to pop the question on Christmas Day right there with my boys by my side. I always thought I wanted something big and elaborate, but I didn't realize how much it would mean to me to see my two sons with huge smiles and joyful eyes as he asked me (& us) to become a family for forever. ❤️
