Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by Aug 20th at the absolute latest. If we don't hear from you by then, we'll have to consider it a 'no' and will miss your presence! To RSVP, you must submit your name under the "RSVP" tab. We can't keep track otherwise.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive at KIMA no later than 4:00p. Shuttles are provided.

Question

Is there a dress code for the wedding?

Answer

Yes. Dress code is formal, earthy tones preferred. Ladies, no white. See this mood board for inspo (copy & paste into new tab): https://pin.it/2Ieb8m9 Imagine a sophisticated look infused with natural and relaxed elements, capturing the essence of a jungle setting while maintaining a formal aesthetic. For Women: Flowy Dresses: Choose a light, flowy dress in a midi or maxi length. Opt for fabrics that keep you cool in the tropical weather. Footwear: Go for wedges, thick heels, or strappy sandals! Ideally no skinny heels/stilettos due to the pebbled landscaping. For Men: Lightweight Suits: Opt for lightweight suits made from breathable materials like linen or cotton. Earthy tones such as khaki, beige, brown, or green are ideal choices. OR Button-Down Shirts: A button-down shirt in a solid neutral color or subtle tropical pattern. You can also check out Guayaberas (known as a “Mexican wedding shirt") typically made of linen, silk, or cotton, and appropriate for hot and/or humid weather. Footwear: Loafers/dress shoes

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

No plus ones. We want to create an intimate and close-knit atmosphere for our special day and we've decided to keep our guest list limited to ensure that we can spend quality time with the people we know and love so dearly. Your presence means the world to us, and we can't wait to celebrate this joyous occasion with you!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we adore the little ones in our lives, we have decided to host an adults-only wedding. This is to create a more adult-oriented atmosphere and allow everyone to relax and enjoy the festivities to the fullest.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Please see the "Travel" tab for more info on this

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes, absolutely! There is a section on your RSVP where you can specify any food allergies or special dietary requirements. Please make sure to fill it out so we can accommodate your needs.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Due to our unique and remote location, there is no parking available on-site. The dense jungle surroundings simply won't accommodate it. But worry not, we've got your transportation covered! We'll be providing shuttles to ensure everyone arrives comfortably and on time. Helen (our concierge) will be in touch with you about your specific shuttle details. Shuttles will begin pick up between 3:00-3:40pm!

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes, see above ↑

Question

Should I bring cash?

Answer

Yes, it’s definitely a good idea to bring some cash (pesos). You can exchange at the airport or use an ATM in Mexico—just be sure to use one inside a bank, not on the street. While most places in Tulum take cards, cash is handy for taxis, snacks, or shopping at local markets. There's a lot of great shopping in Tulum, and cash makes smaller transactions quicker and easier!

Question

Passport Requirements

Answer

The Mexican government only requires that your passport must be valid during the entirety of your trip.

Question

Is Tulum Safe?

Answer

We totally get that safety is important, especially when traveling to a new place. Rest assured, we trust Tulum completely, or we wouldn’t invite all of you for such a special occasion! Like any tourist spot, just be street smart: stay aware of your surroundings, secure your belongings, avoid flashy items, and use common sense, especially at night. If a cop tries to stop you, keep driving if possible - unless it's a clearly marked spot where everyone else is stopping. If stopped, call Gwen on WhatsApp at +52 984 114 9765, or reach out to us! While no place is risk-free, Tulum issues are rarely aimed at tourists. We want everyone to have a fabulous time, so if you have any concerns, reach out to us or our planner, Gwen. If you're uneasy, consider staying at a resort like Dreams Tulum by the Hyatt.

Question

Don't Drink the Tap Water

Answer

The most important advice for travelers to Mexico is to avoid drinking tap water. Stick to bottled water for drinking and brushing your teeth. At most hotels and restaurants, ice is typically made from purified water and is generally safe to consume. A good way to tell if ice is made from purified water is to look for ice cubes with a hole in the middle. This shows it's made from clean water in a factory. ;)

Question

How long will the bride and groom be in Tulum?

Answer

Brendan & Kimberly will be in Tulum Oct 12-23 if you extend your stay and would like to hang out with us!

For all the days along the way
