The airport is only an hour drive away from Placerville. *Note: For family and friends who are traveling to Sacramento, the best route to take would be US-50 through Folsom.

For friends and family who are choosing to fly and maybe want to spend the weekend in the Reno/Tahoe area then this is the airport for you! The drive to Placerville from Reno is almost 3 hours but it's a beautiful drive. Lots of mountains and trees with glimpses of Lake Tahoe in between! *Note: There are two routes we recommend taking when driving to Placerville. For those who prefer to drive wide laned Interstates and don't mind twisty roads, take I-80 W. For those who would prefer a more scenic route closer to South Lake Tahoe, take I-580 S towards Carson City :)
