Getting to Bar Harbor

Bar Harbor is located in beautiful downeast Maine! Bar Harbor is about a 5 hour drive from Boston. For guests located in New England, we highly encourage you to drive directly to Bar Harbor. Once in Bar Harbor, you will be able to walk everywhere from our recommended hotels. Acadia National Park is about a 10 minute drive away from downtown Bar Harbor. If you are driving, we highly recommended making a pit stop in Kennebunkport or Portland to break up the trip! For guests flying in, we recommend flying into Boston, Portland, or Bangor and renting a car to drive to Bar Harbor. There is also a small airport located in Bar Harbor with limited flights but they do have a handful of direct flights from Boston. See information below on airports.

Harborside Hotel, Spa & Marina

This is the hotel attached to the venue. It is a beautiful hotel located right on the water and walking distance to everything in Bar Harbor. Another tip: this hotel offers "connecting rooms" where you book in 1 reservation and get 2 full size rooms that are completely separate with their own entrances/bathrooms. This makes the cost per room a lot less and we would highly recommend guests consider this as it makes it a lot more affordable! The link should automatically populate the discount. West Street Hotel

This hotel is a sister hotel to the Harborside and is located directly across the street. Guests who would like to stay at the West Street Hotel are able to book their rooms now as we won't be able to get a discount code. Another tip: this hotel offers "connecting rooms" where you book in 1 reservation and get 2 full size rooms that are completely separate with their own entrances/bathrooms. Bangor International Airport (BGR)

Bangor is about an hour drive to Bar Harbor. If flying into Bangor, we recommend renting a car or booking the Bar Harbor Shuttle which offers transportation directly from the airport to Bar Harbor. Please visit https://barharborshuttle.net for more information on booking the shuttle.

Flight

Bar Harbor Airport (BHB)

This is a very small airport with limited flights. There are a handful of flights directly from Boston which is a quick 1 hour flight. Please see airport website for tips on transportation into Bar Harbor from the airport: http://www.bhbairport.com/transportation.html

Logan Airport (BOS)

Bar Harbor is about a 5 hour drive from Logan. If flying into Boston, we encourage guests to rent a car and explore the Maine coast as you make your way up to Bar Harbor!

Portland is about a 3 hour drive to Bar Harbor. If flying into Portland, we recommend renting a car.
