Acadia National Park
Acadia National Park has some great trails with incredible views! There are great hike options for the adventurous and walking paths for non-hikers like Kelly. Make sure to check out Sand Beach, Thunder Hole, Bubble Rock, and walking paths along Park Loop Road! If the wait isn't too terrible stop in at Jordan Pond House for popovers! Visit the Acadia National Park website to get the entrance pass for your car before visiting! You only need 1 pass per vehicle.
Cadillac Mountain
An absolute must do! Driving to the top of Cadillac Mountain for the sunrise is super popular but our style is more driving up for sunset so we don't have to wake up at 4AM. The views are incredible at all hours of the day - you can book your pass to drive up at 10AM 2 days before. The sunrise passes sell out very quickly so make sure to login right at 10AM to book this if you are interested!
Bar Harbor Whale Watch Co
Get out on the water and go for a whale watch that goes in and out right from downtown Bar Harbor. Our personal favorite is the sunset happy hour cruise and you will likely see us doing this at some point over the wedding weekend!
Downtown Bar Harbor
Bar Harbor has a huge town center with ample shops, bars, and restaurants! We highly recommend taking time to walk around the town and check out the stores and local watering holes. Definitely check out the Bar Harbor Shore Path and walk out to Bar Island at low tide. You truly can't go wrong anywhere but some of our favorites are listed below: Breakfast: -2 Cats -Jeannie's Great Maine Breakfast -Jordan's Restaurant -Slice of Eden (Biscuit breakfast sandwich is Kelly's favorite!) -Stadium (Coffee & quick bites) -Thrive Juice Bar & Kitchen Lunch/Dinner: -Jordan Pond House (in Acadia) -Geddy's -Stewman's -West Street Cafe (Kelly's favorite is the tour of Maine meal which includes chowder, lobster roll, and a slice of blueberry pie!) -The Terrace Grille -Side Street Cafe -Sweet Pea's Cafe -Rosalie's Pizza Bars: -Finback Alehouse -Thirsty Whale -Dog and Pony -Garden Bar at Ivy Manor Inn (Our favorite - it is outside and they have a lot of fire pits/Adirondack chairs with music!)
