Flights for those coming out of state

You can fly into Miami or Ft. Lauderdale if you want to try for a direct flight which may be more cost effective. Or you can fly into Key West and experience one of the coolest towns around. We prefer the drive up from Key West as it’s a little more scenic and the lower Keys are far better than Miami traffic, but either way, Islamorada is pretty much in the middle. It's about an hour and a half drive from either Miami or Key West. From both location you will be driving down the famous A1A Overseas Highway. Give yourself enough time to enjoy this beautiful drive and to accommodate the occasional traffic back-up as you are driving a two lane highway over the Islands!

Transportation

Renting a car will probably be preferred by most. There is plenty of free parking at the resort, or there are shuttles services if you prefer to not rent a car. Once you get to the resort you will not need a car unless you want to explore more on your own. Once we have a better idea of the guests coming and arrival/departures, we can help with connecting rides and carpools if we need to. Greyhound Lines — The famous American bus service makes scheduled stops along the route between Miami International Airport and the Florida Keys. 1-(800) 231-2222 or (305) 296-9072. Keys Shuttle provides three trips daily, with door to door shuttle service from the Florida Keys from/to Miami and Ft. Lauderdale airports, seven days a week. New, clean, comfortable, full size vans carry a maximum of twelve passengers. In addition to our door to door service, Keys Shuttle provides private charter services to/from Miami and Ft. Fisher Inn Resort & Marina

This is the wedding resort where all the weekend activities will take place and where all guests are encouraged to book their rooms! We have all rooms reserved here so the resort is just for us Thursday through Sunday, but there are limited rooms so we recommend reserving your room ASAP. All the rooms are either suites or efficiencies with beautiful views and balconies. There are multiple room types with rates start at $169 a night. You must call the resort directly to book a room and reference our wedding block code GKFW. *** Update *** there are still 3 rooms left available. If you try calling and they tell you they are sold out, let us know as that is not the case and we heard they have been telling people this. Please ask for Ashley, she is the GM and has the rooms are held under our name but knows what ones are still available to book. Let us know if you have issues before booking elsewhere.

Drop Anchor Resort & Marina

This resort is next door to the wedding resort and can be used as overflow once Fisher Inn is full. Though we were not able to secure a room block (since they only have 18 rooms), prices are still very fair and you will be right next door to all the action. If we run out of rooms at Fisher Inn, guests will be able to choose from this resort and the sister property Hadley House just down the road. We will keep an eye on availability and make updates as bookings are made.
