What do you get when two awkward 12 year-olds meet on a weeklong camping trip with 100% humidity, no deodorant, infinite mosquitos, and a flipped canoe? Apparently, a tenable bond that has evolved over the course of a decade and led us to this somewhat surreal but undoubtedly momentous occasion. While neither of us remember specifics about our first interactions, we do recall a mutual captivation with each other's company. It may sound cliche, and it is, but we could’ve never anticipated how our newfound friendship would grow (nor that we’d still be debating over who flipped that damn canoe). We could easily list all the roles we’ve played in each other’s lives, from complete strangers sitting around a campfire to planning a wedding from the comfort of our couch. However, we don’t believe that this would do justice to the time, effort, and passion we’ve put into supporting one another as we’ve matured as individuals and as a couple. What we lack in an adorable “Hallmark Moment,'' we've made up for in nearly half our lives’ worth of memories. As such, we’d love for our memories of September 24th, 2022, to include all of you lovely people (no pressure). Thanks for reading and be well, -Katie and Oliver
