Kate and Daniel matched in 2018 on The League. (Yes, those were their actual profiles on the save the dates!) He liked her backpacking photo. She did NOT like that he lived in the suburbs. They met at Bookhouse for a drink and talked about their recent travels to New Zealand and Australia (her) and Canyonlands (him). It was Friday the 13th. Daniel had just bought a house that morning. Little did they know... Six months later, Kate invited herself on a trip with Daniel to Montana and Idaho. They backpacked in Glacier, saw the sights in Yellowstone, and soaked in some of the best natural hot springs along the way. Daniel met some of Kate's family; Kate met some of Daniel's friends (and got her first glimpse of his dance moves). The trip made them both realize how much they cared for each other and the relationship started getting serious. Over the years, Daniel and Kate have continued to share their love of travel and adventure with each other. But they've also learned how to support each other through a home renovation, a pandemic, and saying goodbye to Mr E, their resident floofball. Daniel does his best to keep Kate laughing. Kate does her best to keep Daniel on time. They eat many of their meals on the front porch, spend most date nights riding bikes to the local breweries, and dream about one day escaping Atlanta traffic. They are choosing to get married in North Georgia to share their love for the area. Daniel often vacationed there as a kid. Kate started the Appalachian Trail there after graduate school. Daniel helped Kate get her fingertip sewn back on after chopping it off with a hatchet - but that's not an event we'd recommend repeating! There are plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy and quirky small towns to explore. They are looking forward to a fun-filled weekend and hope you can make it!
