Things To Do

There is so much to do in DC, we had a lot of trouble narrowing it down! But there is something for everyone and we are so excited to share it with you.

National Mall

Washington, DC
, (202) 426-6841

DC's most famous landmark! If you haven't seen it, you have to check it out - from the Lincoln Memorial to the National Monument, all the way down to the Capitol building. While you're at it, step into one of the many free Smithsonian museums that line the mall, including the Museum of American History, National Air & Space museum, and Museum of Natural History. Entry is free & no tickets are required! Most museums are open all weekend from 10 AM - 5:30 PM.

Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian American Art Museum

1661 Pennsylvania Avenue Northwest, Washington, DC 20006
, (202) 633-7970

Our favorite museum in DC! The Renwick Gallery is a unique museum filled with interesting and interactive art. Plus it's just steps away from the White House! Open Wednesday through Sunday from 10 AM - 5:30 PM with free admission.

Arlington National Cemetery

Arlington, VA 22211
, (877) 907-8585

A beautiful and reverent landmark just across the Potomac river. The Arlington National Cemetery is the country’s largest military cemetery and serves as the final resting place for more than 400,000 military veterans and their immediate family, including former presidents, renowned generals, and the Tomb of the Unknown Solider.

Le Diplomate

1601 14th Street Northwest, Washington, DC 20009
, (202) 332-3333

What Joey and I usually do for fun in the city -- eat! Le Dip is one of our favorite restaurants & we guarantee you won't be disappointed. Amazing french cuisine on one of our favorite streets in the city. Lots of shopping, bars, and other great eats nearby. Other great restaurants to check out: Lucky Buns (Adams Morgan) Ted's Bulletin (Capitol Hill, 14th Street) Tail Up Goat (for a fancier experience) (Adams Morgan) The Line Restaurants - No Goodbyes, Morning Noon and Night dine in & room service options Daikaya (China Town) or Haikan (Shaw) for ramen Filomena (Georgetown) Farmers Fishers Bakers (Georgetown) Astoria (Dupont Circle) Barcelona Wine Bar (14th Street) Founding Farmers Jaleo or Zaytinya (Jose Andres restaurants near Chinatown) Busboys and Poets (great brunch option - locations near Shaw/AdMo and Chinatown)

Right Proper Brewing Company

624 T Street Northwest, Washington, DC 20001
, (202) 607-2337

Other highly recommended spots for beer, cocktails & coffee: Churchkey (14th Street) All Souls Bar (Shaw) Calico (Blagden Alley) Dacha (Shaw), Saufhaus (DuPont Circle), or Garden District (14th St) for beer gardens Compass Coffee / Philz Coffee (everywhere)
