FAQs

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

Apart from our guests traveling from England, please leave the kiddos at home and take the opportunity to let your hair down & have fun!

Question

Should I stay in Denver a couple of days before heading to Estes Park?

Answer

Yes! Colorado is already at higher altitude - we recommend staying in the Denver area for a couple days to get acclimated to being 5280 miles above sea level before climbing to 8296 feet in elevation to Estes Park.

Question

What are the bride and groom's plans leading up to their big day?

Answer

We are staying in the Denver Metro area from August 8th to August 15th, before heading up to Estes Park. Anyone in Denver while we're there, give us a shout and we will plan places to meet up once we know your plans! Our favorite neighborhoods to stay in are RiNo (Art District), the Highlands, or downtown Denver, in the heart of the city. Once in Estes Park, Jon will be staying at the Estes Park Resort from 15-17 August, then we'll be at Della Terra Mountain Chateau from 17-19 August, before going back to Denver for a night then heading home on 20 August.

Question

How do I prepare for high altitude?

Answer

Please go to the 'travel' tab and scroll down to the bottom to read "what to remember when visiting higher altitude"

Question

What kind of weather should I expect in Colorado?

Answer

NO IDEA :) Colorado is a unique state where it can blizzard, tornado, hail, rain, and have intense sunshine all in the same day. However, it will be summertime and Colorado can get pretty hot in August, so please check the weather before you pack. Plan for all sorts of temperatures coming your way (but please pray for sunshine!!)

Question

What is the transportation situation in Estes Park?

Answer

There is ONE taxi in Estes Park, I repeat, only ONE taxi car in the whole town. This is not a drill, lol, so please do not rely on an uber / taxi service. There are 6 free shuttle routes that operate in Estes Park between 9am and 9pm. There's a link to the "2021 Estes Transit Shuttle Map & Brochure" on the following page: https://www.visitestespark.com/plan/getting-around/free-shuttle-buses/ Following our wedding reception, we will be providing shuttles to the afterparty (or for those ready to call it a night, the shuttles can of course take you back to your hotel) and back to hotels afterwards. We recommend carpooling, and also note that you can leave your car overnight at many of the car parks in the town (and also at Della Terra on our wedding day).

Question

Are there any COVID restrictions for your wedding?

Answer

We will update this more as we know more. At the moment, our venue is open and operating at full capacity!!

For all the days along the way
