Jon was in New York City visiting his best friend, Dan, and meeting his new American girlfriend, Alex. They met in a bar to watch the England v Ireland rugby match (in the Six Nations Championship, which was a BIG DEAL), and Alex had asked her best friend, Jenna, to come with her. Whilst hanging out all day, learning the game of rugby, and exchanging picklebacks shots, it was love at first sight for Jenna and Jon. They spent the rest of the weekend together and, after an emotional departure, couldn't stop thinking about each other and wondering "what if...?". Was it even possible to have such a long distance relationship, separated by 3,500 miles and the Atlantic Ocean?! Three weeks later though, Jon flew back to New York to ask Jenna to be his girlfriend. They spent the following 4 months visiting each other in NYC, London, Iceland and Colorado, before Jenna took the big jump to move to London to be with her handsome man.

Jon was in Colorado for Jenna's birthday and Thanksgiving. They went up to Winter Park to spend a weekend away with friends, but Jon was acting so weird the entire time! He didn't want to go drinking and really wanted to go to Grand Lake where Jenna had been a few weeks earlier and had sent gorgeous pictures of the views. Instead, they went tubing during a blizzard! Jon had the ring in his pocket the whole time while flying down the mountain on his stomach on a rubber ring!! Reckless... The next morning while driving home, Jon was still acting weird and kept wanting to take pictures to show his family in England the beautiful views. Jenna was getting annoyed by now (and pulling off her fingernail polish), but Jon asked their friend Steph if she would pull over so he could take pictures, and she said she knew of the perfect place (not knowing Jon's ulterior motive). Steph actually stayed in the car while their friend, Ned, took a photo of them. The view was actually incredible, so Jenna didn't think anything more of it until Jon said to Ned, "actually can you take one more". At this point Jenna was even more annoyed and said, "what view do you want??" PSA: Jon is NOT a picture guy!! Sneakily, Jon got down on one knee in the snow and said "how about this one?" and asked Jenna to marry him. Jenna was blindsided!! She was completely shocked and it took her about two minutes to process what was happening, but of course she eventually said YES!!
